ನಾವೆಲ್ಲ 17 ತಲೆಮಾರಿನವರು ನಾವು ವಾಡೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವುದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅದರ ಆಚಾರ ವಿಚಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.ನೂರಾರು ಕೂರಿಗೆ ಹೊಲ ಇದೆ. ಊರ ತುಂಬಾ ಆಸ್ತಿ ಇದೆ. ನಾವೆಲ್ಲ ಡಿಗ್ರಿ ಪಡೆದವರು ಆದರೂ ಕೃಷಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿಲ್ಲ.350 ವರ್ಷ ಹಳೆಯ ವಾಡೆಯಾದರು ಅದರ ಬಣ್ಣ ಕೂಡ ಮಾಸಿಲ್ಲ,ಎಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬಿರುಕು ಬಿಟ್ಟ ಉದಾಹರಣೆ ಇಲ್ಲ . ನಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದಿನ ಸವಾಲೇನೆಂದರೆ ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಸವಾಲಿನ ಕೆಲಸವೇ ಆದರೂ ಇಂತಹ ವಾಡೆಯ ವಾರಸುದಾರರಾಗಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕೆ ದೇಸಾಯಿಯವರ ಪರಂಪರೆ ಆದರ್ಶಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವುದು ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ..
All of us are 17 generations, we have to maintain the Wade but also its customs. There is a field for hundreds of houses. The town has a lot of property. Even though all of us have got degrees, we have not left agriculture. The 350-year-old wadeja has not lost its color, there is no example of cracking anywhere. Our next challenge is to preserve this for the next generation but it is important to preserve the legacy ideals of Sikke Desai as the inheritor of such a Wade.
