    Side effect, permanent loss of vision? That's very serious and frightening. My ophthalmologist only told me about it making my dry eyes worse and I didn't even like that. No surgery for me.

    Mother... temporary increase in eye pressure? The whole reason why one would do the surgery is to lower pressure????

      Its not your normal blood pressure
      If it increased more than usual you could lose your sight

    Trustworthy information. Thank you. But how about eye floaters threatment? I've been suffering it for about 5 years, and since the last christmass I've got numerous floaters irritating me and making the hell in my life. I see them coming from the bottom of my eyes upward when I raising up my head abruptly. I see them moving in any directions of different shapes and sizes.
    It turned so I can't contemplate the firmament or the sea line anymore because of erraticly moving dark spots, small circles and stains causing by floaters. I would appreciate any information about specific laser threatment methods that would probably keep me sane filling me with hope to mitigate the negative floaters effect. Thank you!

      I have too just recently got information this is accompanied by age only a few in one eye. At least we understand it is not associated with glycoma.

    I'm having this done next week. It does concern me at some level as i've already had an iridotomy twice on both eyes and now i'm getting the SLT Laser treatment. The idea of losing my sight scares me just a little/lot, but i am hopeful. I wonder how much does hight blood pressure influence the development of glaucoma?

      How did the surgery go?

    • @faithhope4480
      @faithhope4480 4 роки тому +11

      @@AlarisH The first part of it was not as expected. The procedure itself was extremely painful, (it's not supposed to be) and then i couldn't see well for most part of the day. kept my eyes shut and had lots of pain for 3 days after, with much sensitivity and discomfort until the 6th day. The second part of it was significantly better, the specialist turned the intensity down and was able to walk out of there and see. I did take 2 extra strength tylenol before the procedure. Thank you for asking. It's been over a week since the second surgery and i'm much better.
      I take my eye drops and finished the post-op anti-inflammatory drops. Thank you for asking

      @@lulu2dani wow...missed your question. The use of MIGS implants like istent & others. There is very very little risk involved. one may also consider ALT/SLT surgery, usually about 5mins in each eye & walk out procedure. Then there is ECP, the laser targets the cillary processes (these produce the aquerous fluid which does not exit the mesh properly & thus causes backup of fluid which raises the IOPressure). In most cases patients MAY be allowed to come off of their eye...of course only your doctor could say yes or no.

      @@forward_ever_ever2595 Thanks, turns out I brought mine down 11 points cutting caffeine and using a supplement for eye pressure. They no longer consider me at risk. 🙂
