- We were thinking recently about some of the videos that inspired us to pick up a skateboard and point it downhill. Pieces that captured the simple rush of bombing a perfectly paved mountain pass with your friends. Video footage from a point when the only way to show anyone else what it was like was to put it all out there and carry camera with you, taking you right into the pack and along for the ride. So with those memories in mind Tom and Liam headed out to a road that has inspired people to skate big mountains since for years. We wanted to pay homage to the skaters and videos that got us into it and hopefully inspire more to someday do the same. This isn't about the highest speeds or the biggest slides. It's about the one simple feeling that we can all relate too - bombing a hill is fun.

Such a cool edit! Back in the days when my boy Liam skated this run beardless.
This is an edit of my previous post which was just me bitching about how this wasn't balls to the wall skating. I was expecting a pissed off retaliatory response but instead got a thoughtful explanation of why the video was made this way and it made me embarrassed I was so quick to complain. Liam was what brought me into skating and I've followed him and his team ever since, love what these guys do and the way they do it. Always keep an open mind.
I'm only dissapointed b/c these are my favorite skaters and they can deliver soooooooo much more
We get what your saying, but this video isn't about that. It's more for people who haven't been exposed to this sort of riding. This is much more feasible to someone who doesn't downhill skate. We want to create a variety of videos that help get people into downhill skating and not get in lost in making every video faster and gnarlier. Also if you could see the rig we're holding and the road we're on this isn't cruising lol. Specially at night. It was stressful as fuck holding that thing.
Foot in mouth. That was a damn good explanation. You're right, every video doesn't have to be for the hardcore. I was being kinda an asshole by calling it cruising, I know how much talent these guys have and how even at high speeds Liam still looks like he's just cruising down to the beach. Props to you guys for such a thoughtful rather than retaliatory response, you changed my mind completely.

I love hill bombing. Super underrated but that’s fine by me 😂. I wanna skate hills like that one day. I’ve been skating for 1 year now and I’m bombing with (9.5" x 42" cruiser) kinda hard. I can slide but foot-break always works. Please anyone if you can help with advice I’d love some
I don't have any advice for you buddy but I got a little haha for you I've been skateboarding for a grand total of probably three months and when I say skateboarding I include longboarding anything else you want to lump into that category and my friend I'm bombing Hills on a 36 inch Penny longboard like literally the plastic deck full nine yards I had to given 2 me stock and that's how it is to this day it's hella fun but it does get sketchy as fun when I get in the ballpark of 40mph Only help I've gotten is from watching UA-cam and all these little how to tutorials that give you the basics and pay attention where they position their feet to do each slide and try to take in a little bit of each and everybody's tuck and overall style to help with my own and go from there.
I will add some actual advice though just from what I've figured out so far the hard way definitely get yourself some slide gloves and at least a helmet and knee pads always bring a buddy never go alone and if all else fails and you're starting to taste the asphalt commit cuz either way your other going to make it or you're going to eat it and it's always better to eat it committing then to eat it because you got scared.... GOOD LUCK ✌

@@sushiroll4074 trust me I know that if I only had a better board feeling honestly is this point it sounds like we both need a different board I'm looking at it like I'd rather get everything down as best I can with the board I got before I spend the money on a new one ..... Your wheels and by that I mean physical shape of the wheel along with how hard it is and what kind of urethane it's made out of makes a humongous difference when it comes to slides that may help you out just simply switching Wheels bro I would totally check out a few videos on different types of longboarding Wheels give you a better idea of what I'm talking about if you don't already know.... good luck ✌

I understand nostalgia and wanting to show people what its like to cruse and bomb a nice pave road with friends. I do not think showing skaters what it's like to not know the laws of the road or how to get your spot blown in under 10 min. I have to say, this is not the best prism film.... nothing happened except passing the camera, showing people how to carve and pissing off drivers. Not one slide or turn. A night run without fire, glow lights or sparks.... Liam is cool and all but he didn't even have the glasses on in that one night shot.
