Here is what makes Terran lategame op: Mass scans and mules Here is the solution: Remove Command Center energy and make the abillities cooldown based instead That way if you are on point with the timing Terran early and midgame wont be impacted, but lategame Terran cant bank up infinite energy and suddenly drop 12 mules at once anymore, or infinitely scan the opponent Positioning is a massive contributor to super cost effective battles, and with borderline maphacks in the late game Terran has an unfair advantage
@@kaiser2261 No, Terran can easily dominate early, mid and late game with assorted armies. Remember that all Terran armies are ranged except for the SCVs and Terran can cloak and has all the armaments to dominate any games. Terran can infinitely scan, harvest resources using mules while harrassing their enemies using any units. In the highest level of play, Terran is currently the master race with infinite cloak, infinite scanning, infinite turtling while sieging their enemies using tanks, liberators while can heal and pickup their units easily in mobile without any deficits.
In order to have infinite scans and 12 mules, u need to spend a billion of minerals, so nah, this is balanced Same way u can talk about nexus energy, and what recall is the most broken thing in game
Protoss overdefends earlygame: will be broke for the rest of the game and eventually get run over. Terran overdefends earlygame: accidentally has a death army and kills opponent on first push.
Yeah that's why I don't want to play sc2, in bw protoss were bulky and powerful. This game they feel like what humans should feel like, backstabbing cunning little assassins. Totally breaks the fantasy for me. But sc2 breaks all the races fantasy, zerg is not swarmy at all, terran is way too complicated (no real army would have so many transitioning things on the battlefield) and protoss feels hit-and-run. Protoss should be the tanky siege race, terran should be hit-and-run and zerg should be swarmy. That's the power fantasy, make 500 zerg units to break 1 protoss position of 30 units, or a terran position of 100 units...
but it's because stuff dies too fast in this game.. it just feels so wrong when protoss runs and loses 10 more units to concussive shell (which is such a stupid ability on terran) it's funny, but the 1-shot mentality some idiot at blizzard had the power to enforce on this game was an attempt to create more active games and it does the exact opposite. Because if I can lose the game in 2 seconds any time i fight i don't really want to fight.
@@chloesmith4065 We all know that tempests suck. Too slow, too expensive, not versitile, do nothing against bio, consume a lot of supply, requires too much attention. Trash basically.
why do the top protoss players never make like 3 tempest against someone massing liberators? I feel like those force the terran into horrible fights alot of times. They always rather make a shit ton of stalkers instead...
Maxpax doing best protoss plays in this game only to be fucked by terran MMM shit. Why is protoss balanced to trade WAY worse, but have no economic support like zerg has 300 minerals bases and larva workers. If you go for economy terran will fuck you will basic push cause their units are broken against most protoss units, you can't even take bases from enemy side, so you just lose in late game, cause you will be several thousands resources losses deeper then terran. No wonder why in pro games PvT winrate is 40/60 lmao
Ya, i don't think the design of making protoss or zerg have to grab more bases to compete is very fun. It leads to a long game of just watching a terran army beating down the zerg or protoss army continually until the extra resources might eventually be able to win? It would be much more satisfying to watch armies of equal pop battle it out as equals. If you want to have asymmetry on the economy side you should base it off of the characteristics of Terran having the mobile expansion vs the Zerg expanding their creep and gaining map control vs Protoss ability to rapid build.
Byun did not make “a million mistakes”. What game did you watch? Harstem basically thought he could end the game after the huge early game advantage where he killed 25% of Maxpax’s economy but instead he played it slow. That is not a “mistake” its a questionable strategic move but his lead was still there.

Ok so also do the same to chrono and queen abilities
Except Protoss dominates lategame. Maxpax had a terrible early game, thats why he lost.

scan needs a cooldown
scan needs to cost minerals
mule needs a cooldown for the duration of the mule.

Classic byun game, manages to get into a game winning position 5 times and keeps throwing until his opponent kill himself accidentily

I don't think getting two banshe's with cloaks is over defending and a 30 minute long game also means that the first push killed no one
Byun also killed like 12 workers with his banshees right after.
protoss overdefended badly cuz map was ghost river. this is a map problem
I played Protoss in BW. If I played SC2 it wouldn't be protoss. They're weak.
title had me believing to almost the end
so the super advanced protoss race has worse trades against humans with guns i see makes so much sense

Who noticied the small bug where the probes makes a little jump on the stairs to the terran base? kkkk 30:27
Lemmings are back
30:16. yeah the ramp does seem to have a bug or something

Terrans have had their minds broken by Rogue and now they all underperform 😂
Protosses in the comments: “we should still get to win after losing 12 probes to 2 banshees at the 5 minute mark. Terran OP.”
100%
MaxPax should've added voidrays to his composition. Nice against heavy-marauder and liberators terran army.
No, he shouldn’t have. Ghost emp, then 5 marines will shred through void rays
Tempest are the only thing you can build against liberators

Because libs are way better than tempest.
Tempo and money. So easy to get there imao
Maxpax build all the unit that are hard counter by Marauder. He should build carrier to force Buyn build more marine
wtf this isn't mass overseer lategame content >:^(
lots of mistakes on both ends. But clearly feels like a perfect example why Protoss needs to be balanced more.
Wow both players played unusually bad in this game I thought
Byun my boy

I think that he could have done tempest to counter the liberators with 5/6 you can one shoot one of them,
Protoss tears are delicious. And the balance whining is dessert! 😂
That Liberator push was one of the worst pro moves I've ever seen
gg
Terran makes a million mistakes and still wins. Balanced
Whomp whomp
Protoss throws his army away a million times and is still in the game. Made a mistake? Just recall away! 😂
Thanks for the spoiler you crying baby.

one of the most boring games yet
