Walrein and Omastar too I would consider purple. But granted they are a soft shade that makes them look a bit pink. If you want a pink example, Tatsugiri has three colors, one of which is unarguably pink. But that’s a bright pink. A normal pink I would say is like Shiny Jumpluff. A softer pink would be like Blissey, or Espeon. If you go soft enough with purple, it can start to look pink if you don’t have something to compare it to side by side.
ngl rewatching these videos through a supercut is wild, especially the shiny of every color. my friend and i had an argument (playful lmao) about espeon and if its pink or purple. i think getting a bunch of pokemon youtubers and a handful of pokemon fans who are artists/ really into color theory and such to settle the colors of normal and shiny pokemon would be funny lowkey, especially as someone who gets the emotional damage of someone calling a purple hue pink- or a cream color as just yellow, or teal as GREEN lmao
Walrein's shiny color is mauve, which is definitely a shade of pink. Yes, I looked it up, but only because it looks purple to me. Mauve, Ultra Pink, and Fuchsia are 3 shades of pink that look purple. I did a side by side comparison of Pat's Walrein from this video with all 3 shades of pink, and mauve turned out to be a perfect match.
