The Arkham Knight battle makes sense when you consider the context: Scarecrow injected Batman with his serum when Bruce was in control. His greatest fear? Becoming the undoing of Gotham, and since he's slowly becoming The Joker, he doesn't just see himself becoming The Joker, he is overtaken by The Joker. However, since Scarecrow got impatient at how Batman wasn't scared, he injected Batman, controlled by The Joker, with another dose, which showed Joker his fear, which is being forgotten, and Bruce's consciousness was there to make that fear a reality. In other words, Scarecrow's fear toxin weakened the consciousness which was in control, and allowed the other to take over.
I love how many references are in the scene at 6:40 it also somewhat shows the canon aspect and respect for other jokers, Heath Ledger joker's jail scene, Jack Nicholson Joker's commercial, and the gassed audience from dark knight returns is amazing yet interesting
In the comic of the dark knight returns jokers dialogue when he's "paralysed" is in black just like batman's thought bubbles so it's possible that batman killed him and is just imagining the joker talking to him and killing himself so that his morals are kept pure
Even the fight when Joker wanted to become Batman and poisoned the Batman for him to become the new Joker, was one of the best fights from The Batman tv series
@@Batmanfun-ie4mw was and still is my favourite Batman stand alone show, bar Batman Beyond. How was it a joke, showed elements of the Batman story that were fresh, and the animations and storylines were great
Batman beats up Joker in Batman: Hush because there is a dead couple while the Joker is holding a gun. Joker didn’t do it and even told Batman multiple times that he didn’t do it. Even saying “I want you to break your rule, but for something I actually did.”
As soon as I saw this, I thought "the dark knight returns part 2" would definitely show up. And maybe the fight from batman beyond return of the joker.
I love this channel it really shows how great batman really is because i know most people just think of batman as a gadget weak smart guy but after seeing this channel with batman it really shows just how much I underestimated bat man and his story
I always loved the original first Batman/Joker fight in Batman #1 from 1940 by Bill Finger, Jerry Robinson, & Bob Kane. With Batman & Robin going after a mad murderous killer clown killing the richest people in Gotham and leaving a permanent grin on their faces in a fight to the death. There are plenty of others but I’ve always loved this particular one just for introducing me to both characters and their mythos when I was a kid.
My favorite Batman and Joker fight is the one in Batman Endgame it was brutal as hell and awesome to see them fight one last time before they presumably died.
The laughter did not end abruptly because Alan Moore intended the Joker to be killed by Batman. It was a theory offered by another Batman writer, Grant Morrison. Alan Moore did not suggest that that was his intention
When Batman threw the Batarang into the Joker's eye in The Dark Knight Returns 2, the Joker was shocked, screaming "Have you lost your mind?!" For someone who's constantly trying to get Batman to break, that response suggests that maybe it wasn't a good idea to break Batman at all as it genuinely surprised him in the worst way.
The problem with your explanation of why Joker doesn't fight back against Batman in Batman: Hush is that Joker says he wants Batman to kill him, but for something he ACTUALLY did. Batman was going to kill him because he thought Joker killed his childhood friend, Thomas Elliot, but he didn't. Joker, for once in his life, was innocent. So, while he DOES want Batman to kill him so he breaks his biggest rule, he wants it to happen because of someone he actually did, not because of something he was framed for.
For the hush one. In the comic he was getting flashbacks to what joker did to both Jason and Barbara as he was beating the joker to death and how he didn't want joker doing something to catwoman just to get too him
Also joker wasn't fighting because batman wasn't giving him the chance and he didn't want to die here because batman snapped for something the joker didn't do so the joke wasn't there for him
I like the titan Joker fight because it feels like the Joker was done playing his game and just wanted Batman dead. After years and years of doing the same thing, Joker was ready to move onto the next joke.
I wouldn't say The Joker's rationale for causing chaos and death is because he wants to be in charge of the chaos, it seems more like the old fashioned "If I have to suffer, then I will make sure everyone else feels my pain", but he is so mentally broken that he revels in it.
One of my favorite Batman cartoons, The Batman, has a good roster of Batman vs Joker fights. Such as their first encounter to the time Joker is made into a vampire and they duke it out in a blood bank
