I've played the electric guitar for 55 years and was happy to hear the main theme and I play it often on the electric guitar now
Just saw this movie again at The New Beverly last night. SO amazing. Definitely would not be the same without this incredible soundtrack.

Very cool movie and the soundtrack is great.
Interesting movie with unforgettable John Karlen (Willie Loomis in ABC series Dark Shadows,1966) and perfect score by late monsieur De Roubaix.
I've seen just about every movie from around the world, from the silents to the 1980s but this is one of my top ten favorites in my list of film scores, i only regret that you did not include the vocal of the beginning rendition of the main theme

Hope this doesn't sound trivial but what a gorgeous looking film! Three beautiful actresses ( Danielle Ouimet is, in particular, mesmerising ). For an excellent horror/comedy film score try The Fearless Vampire Hunters, a Polanski film of the 1960s. It is curiously humourous while conveying the pathos and horror of the predicament of those condemned to this twilight world of shadow and grave.
This sound track is danker than a dungeon and sweeter than corn syrup!! Love his tones all over this thing , but one of my faves is Dracula Woodstock! Those chords and guitar tone are pure DRIP!!

Portishead absolutely completely ripped off this soundtrack lol
that’s like saying “Kendrick Lamar absolutely ripped off the Above The Rim soundtrack” … it’s really just two (pretty great) examples, separated by a couple decades, of an otherwise long and storied, ever-evolving musical genre, developed through an endless concatenation of influence/inspiration. And although this already identifies two of the (arguably) best exemplars of this style, keep pulling on that thread; you’ll definitely discover a lot more incredible music :)
And dont forget they made a meal out of Issac Hayes samples….art can inspire more art and im here for it
Some Portishead song definitely sounds like the track "Valerie, Ilona et Stefan"
