I know that they have many differences culturally, but my grandmother was culturally Dominican (ethnically Lebanese) and so many things about the moms remind me of her posthumously! It is such a comforting feeling watching this channel.

My favorite Mexican food is chile verde. My Mom learned to make it from a Mexican-American neighbor before I was born, so I've been eating it forever. She'd make it with chopped pork steak and Fresno chiles from my Dad's garden (🌶🔥🥵). It was so hot with those home grown chiles, but so good! Always served it with her Southern style pinto beans with ham hock! Kind of a Mexico/Oklahoma fusion thing going on! 😎

I missed one. But I'm a history and culture buff. My grandfather had Mexican restaurants in California prior to 1941. And in the 1920s my grandmother worked in a Mexican restaurant in LA.
Tip for people who say avocados are always hard or unripe, place them around a bunch of unripe or yellow with green tips bananas. Makes those avocados ripen pronto! Even hard Mexican avocados will ripen in a day or two. And yes I believe Mexican avocados taste the best. Smaller ones are also better because you usually get a small seed and more flesh.
