This video is composed of lengthy 'nothings' about al-ghazali. It doesn't inform us of the following: 1. Ghazali was appointed by Seljuk vizier Nizam Al Mulk as dean of the Baghdad Madrasatul Nizamia to propagate Sunni Shariati Islam in order to stem the tide of a growing Ismaeli movement in the Islamic World. This movement wanted to create elbow room within Shariati Islam for freedom of thought and liberal practices of religion. This movement included a study of philosophy and higher maths to open doors for science and Arts. This was a threat to the established rituals and practices of Shariati Islam which regarded any liberation of the human mind and thought as a threat to its own existence. 2. This resulted in a disputational struggle between the Mu'tazilites and Ash'arites which lasted for well over two centuries. 3. Ghazali who was a staunch Ash'arite, came down hard against the study of higher maths and philosophy, and banned it within his own growing group of followers. 4. This had a profound and lasting effect upon the subsequent curricula and syllabuses within Islamic Madrasas, where the study of science, maths and other disciplines such as Astronomy and geography petered out, leaving only the rote learning of the Quran and other superficial aspects of rituals and practices behind. 5. When the Mongols invaded and destroyed Central Asia and Persia in 1258, looting and burning all the cities and towns, the Islamic world was devastated and saw the end of its Golden period of history. 6. In the wake of this destruction, nothing was left behind except Ghazali's Islam with its madrasas devoid of any educational learning worth the name. 7. Those who now glorify Ghazali should look at the abject state of so-called Islamic madrasas and institutions which are responsible all over Europe and America for the proliferation of ignorance within Islamic immigrant communities, as well as within all Islamic countries from Morocco to Indonesia and Malaysia. 7. The backwardness of Muslim communities everywhere is a direct result of the decimation of secular education within their mosques and community centers. This was started by Ghazali centuries ago. 8. Read history to understand why the Islamic world is in such doldrums now.
Alright someone help me out here I’m looking for a video I watched a while ago where Shaykh Hamza was talking about Sayyiduna Umar RA and how he used to walk barefoot sometimes was wondering if anyone has an idea of what the video was.
"Tus is currently in Iran" why? where was it before, Italy. He was Persian. Why Sunnis hate admitting a lot of these men were Persians. Just say he is Persian.
May Allah bless you for your effort. Al-Hamdu-Lillah, I have read "Ihya ul Uloom ud Deen" as well as "Keemiya-e Saadat" by Imam Ghazali. I learned so much from him: Satisfaction of my logical intellect, Destroying the Idol of Atheism from my mind, Introduction of underlying conviction in Islamic way of life, etc. May Allah bless Ghazali for this. Now, after 15 years, my analysis is that if you draw a line between the version of Islam given by Prophet PBUH and version of Islam presented by Sufism, Ghazali is closer to Sufism. The life of Muhmmad PBUH is way different than the life of Ghazali. Allah knows the best.

@Mir Musaib simply because he ended the 300 years of beautiful science in the Arabian culture. 2/3 of the stars are named by arabians, our numbers are arabian, in math (algebra or Algorithm) many thinks come from the arabians. @Mir Musaib sure that. I have to grab the book out. But it was also mentioned by Neil Degrasse Tyson who speaks highly about the that era and how much the people in and around Bagdad discovered.
@Mir MusaibQuote from his book "Deliverance from Error": "Mathematics tend, however, to produce two bad results. The first is this: Whoever studies this science admires the subtlety and clearness of its proofs. His confidence in philosophy increases, and he thinks that all its departments are capable of the same clearness and solidity of proof as mathematics. But when he hears people speak of the unbelief and impiety of mathematicians, of their professed disregard for the Divine law, which is notorious, it is true that, out of regard for authority, he echoes these accusations, but he says to himself at the same time that, if there was truth in religion, it would not have escaped those who have displayed so much keenness of intellect in the study of mathematics. Next, when he becomes aware of the unbelief and rejection of religion on the part of these learned men, he concludes that to reject religion is reasonable. How many of such men gone astray I have met whose sole argument was that just mentioned. And supposing one puts to them the following objection: "It does not follow that a man who excels in one branch of knowledge excels in all others, nor that he should be equally versed in jurisprudence, theology, and medicine. It is possible to be entirely ignorant of metaphysics, and yet to be an excellent grammarian. There are past masters in every science who are entirely ignorant of other branches of knowledge. The arguments of the ancient philosophers are rigidly demonstrative in mathematics and only conjectural in religious questions. In order to ascertain this one must proceed to a thorough examination of the matter."
@Mir Musaib if it was a tale or not is hard to tell. Anyone most definitely did. What in my opinion is quite sad. Never let theology get in the way when it comes to this world. Don't fool people with the beyond.
Per Habbs because every one has different interpretations of Hadith it's way they follow religion but core is same for every sect that their is no God but Allah and prophet Mohammad saww is prophet of Allah and believe in Quran as book of Allah .
Per Habbs: Political and Traditional ideologies are some of the two main reasons that divides the Ummah. The Prophet (s.a.w) knew that will come thats why he says "After me there will be 73 sects or Groups, and only 1group will be on the straith path i.e. those who hold on to the Quran and my Sunnah.

hello mr hamza yusuf you must be doing work for future generation but origin of our deen goes back to 1400 years ago.sufism is an example of making oneself secluded for a while.in uk we have retreats for all age groups to do zikar and enrich our souls.you dont take shower regularly.sorry but your teeth are not clean.our shaikh abdal hakim murad understands that we need salat azkar connection with Quran but pure love of Allah develops when we regularly do a bit of seclusion.call it sufism.

That's not a good thing. For over a thousand years the muslim caliphate stood, until muslims believed the false promises of the British and were scammed. There was also greed on the muslims side.
Ya and what is your point? Is that supposed to be a good thing? The destruction of the caliphate? The whole reason why we lost Palestine is because the Ottoman Empire was destroyed it’s also the reason why the Muslim world is fragmented.
hamza whatever in history you read you don't remember one of those time every scholar under king influence so Hamza you cannot trust. you have to come back to holy Quran if you want to understand Islam. imam Ghazali why he is famous just tell me.now tell you why ghazali is the one he convert islam to sufism
What are you trying to say? Al-Ghazzali was one of the great Imam in the mazhab of Shafi'i and he was also an Ash'ari. He was also the great leader of Sufism, know the aqeedah, fiqh and tasawwuf very well. We Sunni have the sanads, we knew where and from who we took our religion. Different from the Wahhabi Salafi that always talk about quran and don't want to learn from the ulemas who took the religion from tabiit tabiin, tabiin, sahabis and Rasulullah PBUH.
Hamza Yousef is this from the hadiths n Quran because if not this is not recognizable for anyone to come back to Islam you should teach more about the profit n the teachings of the profit not sure we’re going with this sorry

Can someone explain me why we have shias en sunnies and Wahhabis suffies all these sects in islam? WHY ?
Per Habbs because every one has different interpretations of Hadith it's way they follow religion but core is same for every sect that their is no God but Allah and prophet Mohammad saww is prophet of Allah and believe in Quran as book of Allah .
Per Habbs: Political and Traditional ideologies are some of the two main reasons that divides the Ummah.
The Prophet (s.a.w) knew that will come thats why he says "After me there will be 73 sects or Groups, and only 1group will be on the straith path i.e. those who hold on to the Quran and my Sunnah.
you ask very well here the answer.none of sects from Islam. all suffies Islam convert to Sufism, no more Islam Mohammad bring in this world.now what is the Sufism I will tell you, Roza-namaz-hajj and zikar e Allah this is today Islam.mohammad never bring Roza-namaz-hajj and zikka e Allah doing all this not Islam. if ask more let me know
you are wrong, all sects not right on Islam.today we have only holy Quran.do not believe on hadith its man-made.
do you know who wrote the hadith after 300 years Mohammad death, then you know this is not a truth that's why Jewish and christens they make a joke out of hadith and you angry its funny die for nothing
How about no music (including vocals as it mimics music). Get with the program 🪓
hello mr hamza yusuf you must be doing work for future generation but origin of our deen goes back to 1400 years ago.sufism is an example of making oneself secluded for a while.in uk we have retreats for all age groups to do zikar and enrich our souls.you dont take shower regularly.sorry but your teeth are not clean.our shaikh abdal hakim murad understands that we need salat azkar connection with Quran but pure love of Allah develops when we regularly do a bit of seclusion.call it sufism.

Realyy i didn't get anyone of these videos
Why the MUSIC in the background???
What is wrong?it does not say anywhere in Quran music is haram.
And this video is about Imam Ghazzali he he was an Imam he was agreed that music is halal
@@yasamini6346 there is no hadith or Quran says music is Haram. Go read the Qur'an you will see
"One may use a catapult against [non-Muslims] when they are in a fortress, even if among them are women and children. One may set fire to them and/or drown them....If a person of the Ahl al- Kitab [People of The Book: Jews and Christians, typically] is enslaved, his marriage is [automatically] revoked....One may cut down their trees [means of livelihood]….One must destroy their useless books. Jihadis may take as booty whatever they decide."
-Al-Ghazālī (1058-1111), sometimes called Islam's second-most-important Muslim
Good video however listening to your narration is like getting teeth pulled by a street dentist.
,,bride in their hearts,, u wahabis leave judgment to allah. How can u read someone to heart.
‘Buut... aaa... mmm... what kind of knowledge is this if i can steal it?’ The kind of which you want to share. What kind of scholar gets confused over such questions?
peaou the point being, if you have the knowledge in your memory, it can easily be etched into another paper
technically if you share it, it doesn't count as stealing so your point is kinda invalid.
Wahabis are not deviant. They helped British defeat the ottoman. Look isis qaeda shabab taliban bokoharam etc
Anzar Ahmed like your comment
That's not a good thing. For over a thousand years the muslim caliphate stood, until muslims believed the false promises of the British and were scammed. There was also greed on the muslims side.
Ya and what is your point? Is that supposed to be a good thing? The destruction of the caliphate? The whole reason why we lost Palestine is because the Ottoman Empire was destroyed it’s also the reason why the Muslim world is fragmented.
Belief in sahee Hadith is essential to being a true muslim /momin. Anyone who does not believe in Hadith is out of Islam.
hamza whatever in history you read you don't remember one of those time every scholar under king influence so Hamza you cannot trust. you have to come back to holy Quran if you want to understand Islam. imam Ghazali why he is famous just tell me.now tell you why ghazali is the one he convert islam to sufism
@@mudabbirh7067 clearly, you knew nothing about your own religion.
Hamza Yousef is this from the hadiths n Quran because if not this is not recognizable for anyone to come back to Islam you should teach more about the profit n the teachings of the profit not sure we’re going with this sorry
Common sense is not for common people
Salam brother, can you speak clearly please ? So annoying 😡😡😡
Walaikum assalam ,the voice you hearing is hamza yusuf's .he is a great scholar please be respectful. .
Are u deaf
The narrator sounds stoned
