Diz is a good, sometimes great battle rapper whose antics are plain childish. In this battle alone he blames cigarette smoke in the room for choking, talks through Saynts rounds now and then and for some reason ducks during Saynts 3rd. All of which is ridiculous but would be okay if his substance wasn't iffy and dated. I mean, a 'Rambo'-bar in 2021? And his neverending 'I'm gonna rip your head off in this and that way'-rants. Saynts material was way more original, he had better haymakers and is - despite the fact Diz is older - acting more like an adult while battling. Saynt 3-0, although you could maybe argue Diz won the third.
I agree, diz is a great battler but his emotions getting the best of him has hindered his likability and overall performance time and time again. Shame because he is one of the greatest of all time.

Very close battle despite biased fans/haters on each side, I like both of them, I think Diz lost because of the stumble, (not much prep time), and Saynt won because he was hungrier. But Saynts writing is just ok right now, which is to be expected since hes still relatively new and has a ton of potential. Right now hes good, very good even, but hes predictable and not super layered or intricate, you can see where hes going before he gets there (which isnt entirely a bad thing, but there's just a diff between someone as young as him and someone whos been writing rhymes and performing for decades). Diz did great in every battle and I think each one was debatable. Idk why people feel a need to hate on him. And Diz's material wasnt awful at all in any of these battles in this tournament, he held his own and put on a bunch of fights, people try harder when they battle him, he brought the best out of each one of his opponents.
