NHS recruitment process is utter dogshit. I have been accepted for a Band 3 position in October, i then had to wait 5 weeks until a lady told me about the “finance issues associated with funding the position”, and then now I’m currently through the trac stage….and it’s December. I’ve already handed in my 6 weeks notice because the nhs will just spring a start date on me without informing me first about the potential start date. Overall, nhs recruitment is purely awful

Chelsea Westminster Trust - If you are reading this, I hope you know that your recruitment process is so disasterous and disorganised - that I will be sharing a time-line on social media and writting a formal complaint to all HR and Recruitment directors.
I only applied for bank and the number of times I had to try and contact you to follow up. Furthermore none of your numbers are contactable that you clearly advertised online lol. Its an actual joke! I challenge any member of staff working in recruitment to call the number you state on the contract and tell me if you can get through. Emails are left sitting in the depths of your inbox. I appreciate and acknowledge its a huge operation but your processes need to be reviewed.

Update: After finally being registered as a bank member of staff. I applied for a permanent position and they had to do all the checks again (which I understand). On trac, everything was completed apart from Occy Health. I went to the Occy health appointment - only to be told nurse went home sick (keep in mind I travelled an hour for that appointment). A week later my Occy health was completed and I tried phoning the recruitment line (Nobody answered). I managed to get through to HR who gave me another ext number and when I called that the member of staff wanted to know who gave out that number lol. Anyway apparently they have to send another reference request (by apologised for it being sitting there for over a month). Absolutely horrendous.

@@genie121I’ve seemingly been stuck in occupational heath limbo for an indeterminate amount of time with the trust hiring me too. The NHS careers teams can kiss my ass.
