What I hate is when people make excuses for those two big guys who just stood there watching and then one walks over and shuts the door on her, it annoys me that people ASSUME and try to spread "Well what can you do, you were frozen in fear, or they were big" NO I have heard stories and seen videos, it's not that people are frozen in fear it's just they don't give a crap. It's simple as that, sure I'd understand it if it's some short person who sees that alone then yeah I get it but when it's a group of people who just watch and do nothing, and instead one pulls out a phone and films ugh it really shows they don't care enough to do anything or even bother. Instead they see it as free entertainment and a story to share. The old Filipino lady story is beyond sad, I saw it when Philip Defranco talked about it and it's just sad and makes me angry that no one wants to help her but instead shut the door on her AND YET IDIOTS make excuses for them and say "Oh well they froze, it happens" I'm 5'2 and skinny I have been in situations and yes I get the moment of freezing but it doesn't last minutes it only last seconds, I walked in on till what I believe this day to be true, my house getting robbed at the age of 18/19 came home from school to my door slightly open and hearing a sound inside when I knew my brother couldn't have possibly came home before me since we came from the same school and he was a bit behind me at a distance. I froze for a few seconds and thought about what I should do but it didn't last as half as long as those guys who just stood there watching. Moments of freezing usually happen from shock and for a few seconds, if you care then you act once you snap out of it, ESPECIALLY if you are a big person like those two in the video. I just hate people making excuses for them, NO excuse justifies them watching and then shutting the door on her so she couldn't seek out help.
We all have reality checks at different stages of our lives but Dumb don't compare yourself to others rather teach and learn from each other to make yourselves better. "Success" shouldn't be measured by some objective method, it's your path and your path only.

But a huge part of it is for sure freezing up. If they're willing to attack someone what else are they capable of doing? Do they have a weapon? Some dude got into legal trouble for defending himself/his business. Charges were dropped but that legal stress for 2-3 weeks trying to iron it out sucks!

What happened in NYC is messed up. Not even our elderly are safe? It's disgusting. The reason why people can't step in is because of the laws in NYC and many other cities. You will end up in hand cuffs.
