All the guy needed to tell his father is she was poisoned saving him. That they we’re warned against sex due to the risk of her getting pregnant thus weakening her further by the poison & killing both her and the baby. Better safe than sorry. It’s not like they can’t have any sexual activity. Just not full intercourse until the poison is fully flushed from her system. That is all he has to explain. Plain simple done. The FIL then could focus on finding help to flush the poison out sooner. Seriously parents need to stay out of their adult kids bedrooms.. especially their Beds!!!
