If i may be allowed to offer a small bit of criticism: please check the subtitles as there are some inconsistencies.
I think overall the subs do justice if the viewer/listener is familiar with Japan and can connect the dots as to what the speaker wanted to say.
For example at 7:20 the speaker says the "Meiji Period" though the subs show "Magi". For me and for most others who would be watching/listening, we can understand what it means.
My apologies if this was inappropriate.

Thank you. Yeah I was hesitant if I should bring in the subs but decided to as they were much better than the automated UA-cam version. However, I do think this episode is best viewed in podcast form which luckily UA-cam allows now

Your apology is deeply offensive and we DEMAND you get down and do that bow on your knees like they do in Judo class.

This was an informative video and it touches on the finer points of owning a property in Japan, or any other country for that matter. A city home has a different feel and function. A countryside house is another matter altogether. I remember my grandparents living in the countryside and we all used to have so much fun there; plus the locals knew us so there was no fear about our safety. Sadly, i cannot afford to give my children the same experience unless i move back to my home country and renovate the old farms.

Or move to Japan? I'm sure you can afford it with the yen at a 40 Year low 😅

@@konichivalue tell you what. I am seriously considering it. however, i m not Nihonjin and with my language skills being inadequate to survive in the inaka, i will need to work on many issues first.
Moving to Japan? I have a home in Chiba pref. so prices are not Tokyo crazy! However, moving to the inaka is another kettle of salmon!
