Her voice definitely was having some major issues here. I think this is the era that officially killed her confidence in singing live. The TEOM era was much stronger and she sang live much more. Still here she had some good/great moments as well. This era was memorable for me, since it was the first era for me as a stan. So it will always be special to me.
Charmbracelet was her second vocal peak. The beginning of the Emancipation of Mimi era was pure fire, the ending of it was ok.
Definately. This was her most confident era since at least Rainbow or Butterfly, she probably looked back at the clips and realised how painful she sounded sometimes, and so she now prefers to play it all safe.
#1 to Infinity era was the most confident era vocally after Charmbracelet era, with more resonant & ease, plus started to improve technically.
I think because during this era she had a lot of heartbreaks from multiple miscarriages
Lmao TEOM era is just as strong as this.

eh.... not her best live era *side eye*! I was at the "stop singin my part now performance" lol I felt so bad for her because we all knew her lip sync track got messed up. Immediately after that performance she was on the side of the stage GOING OFF on the stage directors, it was SO FUNNY!

Her voice was very weak but her confidence was through the roof! Last era she sang live a lot
Mariah's vocal confidence in 2008 was probably driven by the fact that she knew her voice was in a very bad vocal state that's why she intended to hit certain notes most of the time to compensate for it --- whereas in eras where her voice is a lot stronger ( Charmbracelet & Memoirs ) she tends to play it safe most of the time to preserve her voice and use it at its maximum capacity when she's in a very great day. thanks for coming to my ted talk.
Her belting notes sounded like they're being blocked by something from coming out. Most probably her nodules.
Even though this is probably her worst era when it comes to live vocals, she still sounds fantastic!

Actually for the studio, I really love E=MC2. The lyrics of some songs like bye bye, I stay in love, love story, and I'll be lovin' you long time are my favourite. However, in my opinion, I think her voice in this era is a little bit too "fragile"😞

Voice in pretty good shape, you can tell she's very confident and having fun singing the music (something I miss seeing!) The range is clearly there, and she took a lot of risks in these performances. The only downfall is the resonance in this era, imo, was not there.
This is her second worse era. 2015 is even better.
But a lot less lipping here I think

I hated the Infinity Era, but her belting from 2013-onwards has been much better than TEOM, E=MC2, and Memoirs.

World Of The Trailer she never sang a G5 in 2015, and the 2014 one (When Christmas Comes) was obviously just two versions of the chorus being played on top of each other.

This video is wrong we know that her highest chest note is not g5 it's an a5 if I'm not wrong and her highest whistle note is g#7, a little bit higher then that.
