Guru Sahib teaches us that we are more free than we think.
Once a family man felt he couldn't fulfill his heart's desire to serve in the Guru's court because of his family obligations. However, Guru Sahib helped him to realize that his family was not empowered by him doing everything for them. By learning to provide for themselves they were more happy and he was free to serve the Guru. This serves as an invitation to us all to look at our lives and what false beliefs we have that hold us back from serving the Guru's mission. There is no time like right now to serve the Guru.
