Idea: You could make some derby Past and Present squads, where you include some players from both teams, like Barcalona-Real Madrid, Spurs-Arsenal, Dortmund-Bayern, etc. You could even try to include some players who played for both, Figo, Campbell, Lewandowski. Or maybe some known players to play well in Derby’s, like Pepe and others.

The “no past” criticism has more to do with the fan base than the club. And that side of the argument is supported a bit by the fact that this is the first time I’ve ever heard someone detail their actual past as a counter argument. You’d think a fan somewhere would’ve known it well enough to make that point by now. They’re well good now, though, and I don’t think history should count for much anyway. Much more fun to go at dead clubs who think they’re big because they used to win.
