You see where Kobe got that midrange from!!!Joe's midrange game and footwork was impeccable for a 6'9 player
Can't imagine how Jellybean is feeling right now. Rest in peace Kobe and his daughter Gigi Bryant who had so much potential.
Yeah...that is just totally foul how Gayle disrespected Jellybean & his son Kobe & Kobes widow Vanessa and Kobes surviving children and blames it all on CBS as her excuse...
And Oprah has fake tears for her girlfriend gettin death threats!!!...evil!!!!...bs!!!
Stacy Harris you know what Kobe's mom is gon get gayle in a minute you just watch and wait. See blacksportsonline.com ; philly dont play !!!
I'm sure Mr Bryant a father who happened to have played pro ball and gave his awesome son the tools to play basketball is hurt that he's no longer physically here😘but he should be proud as a father and a provider for his family 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 he's an awesome man who raised an awesome son with his awesome wife👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Blessings to them all😘💜💛💜💛💜💛💜💛💜💛💜💛💜💛
That dunk on Kareem 🔥
He was high in the air but there was no attempt by Kareem! Dunked on Kareem. Not really.
@@MichaelMitchell-eo6cb he really did. No matter if there was an attempt
To hear people say kobe was like a son to jerry west is the ultimate disrespect to his dad thanks for this post
it's not disrespect if Kobe felt that way. We dont know everything in regards to the dynamics of Kobe's relationship with his fam but what i do know is that after his passing, his mom and dad are now living with deep regret. I will leave it at that.
it's not disrespect if Kobe felt that way. We dont know everything in regards to the dynamics of Kobe's relationship with his fam but what i do know is that after his passing, his mom and dad are now living with deep regret. I will leave it at that.
It is not disrespect because Jerry west actually cared for him a lot and only compared Kobe's death to his brother.
@@manofaith75 I mean it had to be tough to be Kobe's dad. Kobe talked sh*t about his dad for over 20 years, saying he should have been way better in the NBA. He might have been right but that's so disrespectful to your dad to say something like that
I remember watching Jelly Bean back in the day. Kobe owed a lot to his Dad.
@@Imeanwellshit when Kobe died the next day she posted his memorabilia and said thank God we got it back and a UA-camr pointed out that she even added items his parents didn't sell to the list his parents apologize to Kobe they put it behind them but Vanessa obviously still trying to keep division going and his older sister called her out on it that's why she was not invited to his hall of fame ceremony Kobe picked a real bitch for a wife
Damn that dunk was brutal Mr. Bryant
Rip Kobe and Gigi 🕊🕊🕊
Prayers go out to to Jellybean and the Bryant family! No man should outlive his son.....smh
who are we to say what should or shouldn't happen, it happens all the time bruh
@@manofaith75 What? Just bc it happens all the time doesn’t mean it’s ok or should happen. Shit that shouldn’t ever happen happens everyday like little kids getting molested/abused for example. With your logic you would say oh well that happens all the time bruh, no big deal... I’m not saying I’m God and what should or shouldn’t happen is up to me but some shit just shouldn’t happen and doesn’t make sense. Obviously I know tragic shit like this happens all the time and this world is a fucked up place... That being said most parents want to outlive their kids and not see them die at a young/middle age it’s pretty simple! I want to outlive my parents so I can take care of them when they are old so I can re-pay them for taking care of me all those years.... Not really getting what your trying to say with this? Ok, it happens all the time, does that make it ok and not sad to you or something? RIP KOBE!!!!!!!!
@@pianotnt sorry to hear, happened to my family too my brother overdosed 3 years ago :( Keep ur head up G!
Obey thy mother and thy farther or ur days will be numbered .. he did more for venessa mother than he did for his own family
OG was cold😂😂😂 I knew he could ball but he really was snappin
I was a great fan of Joe Bryant in the late 80s, when he was playing in Italy.
What a player and top scorer he was.
I remember that every game I was very curious to see who was scoring the most that day in the championship.
An the battle was always between Joe Bryant, Oscar Schmidt and Drazen Dalipagic.
Three of the greatest players I have ever seen.
Great memories.
Do you know if there is any footage of Joe available from his playing days in Italy?
Kobe became his own man at an early age, but you still gotta respect pops .
Thank you Joe for creating one of the baddest dudes in NBA history 👏🏼
My Condolences to your family Mr. Bryant.
Think it's safe to say the DNA was definitely passed down. We love and will never forget you KOBE!!! #MAMBAFOREVER
Bruh i see where Kobe gets some of his moves.. like the pump fake before he shoots to draw a foul. (like father like son)
No all of his moves was from mike he just has the hops and the mid range from his dad but the foot work pump fake and stuff like that there from mike so you wrong
@@bruhdruh8974 do you se these highlights delusional their all from his dad and Kareem people are just slow
I never knew jelly bean was that good; on this film he looks like an impact player- no doubt
@@bruhdruh8974 It's obvious Kobe mirrored MJ. But don't get it twisted, Kobe was a student of the game. He definitely learned some moves from his pops. That's the man who raised him and introduced him to the game. It's disrespectful to say all of his moves came from MJ like as if he didn't take anything from his pops. Kobe learned from many of the legends in the game. That's part of what made him a legend himself.
Kobe daddy wasn’t no joke pops could ball Kobe didn’t talk about him much sometimes kids and parents go thru some things that put them at a distance but he’s still pops and pops could hoop.
His dad started him playing basketball at three years of age. R.I.P. Kobe “ par excellence”
Haven't talked to my dad for over twenty years you not lying on your comment.
@@billynelly1095 smh. Damn bro. I hope all the healing that’s needed has come since then man
He cursed his dad out about his hoe ass wife and they never been the same since
Condolences, thoughts, and prayers for Joe Bryant and family.
Safe to say Jordan was a fan of Joe lmao
Jerry West envisioned Kobe Bryant while watching his Dad and probably made an inner oath that The son would be the alpha omega of the association! RIP Mamba!
Wow u can c where the kid got that determination
Pump fake is in the blood.
It was in his genes to be great
It's Kobe's dad! There's finally going to be a good highlight video of him besides that one dunk on Kareem. I hope that you guys like it! And please comment, that would be great too.
- Pocky -
Oh, and another Classic Tailback video will be released next week. Probably Thurman Thomas or Johnny Rodgers (I don't care that he was technically a slotback for Nebraska, he's getting a video anyways). So don't worry about that.
I've been watching the NBA for 40 years. Seen Joe play many times. The highlight against Portland was the 1977 NBA finals.
Only god knew his son Kobe would come behind him and be one of the Greatest ever to play the game of Basketball!
I'm sad for Kobe, Joe
Muito triste
god be with your family
Keep kobes family in prayer
A lot of People saying Kobe didn’t talk about his dad! He always has mentioned his Dad... He gives him credit as the reason he wanted to play the game.. he often said he wanted what his dad had... He also said his dad would always win on the court when they would play... Until the one day when he was 14 and he beat his dad his dad didn’t wanna play him anymore.... As much as he got from Jordan, He didn’t acknowledge that until YEARS LATER... But anyway the man definitely acknowledged his dad
Joe jellybean Bryant is very good NBA player all time and rest in peace Kobe Bryant
Still around Mr. Bryant is a gift from God showing were Kobe really got his fadaway from his father he was so blessed to have such a great father to teach him linda j peace ❤️💯💯 forever
Like father like son
Mj stole dad Bryant's Jersey number agshxj 😂
Rip Kobe Bryant #MambaOut
I think Kobe worked so hard bc his dad prolly could’ve been Hall of Fame if he was more dedicated. Joe was a 6’10 guard that could jump dribble and shoot out of Philly. He played 8 seasons in the league and was out by 28. He averaged 8ppg for his career. It all makes sense now. Joe was telling Kobe abt playing with Dr. J on the Sixers etc and prolly telling him he could’ve been better than Doc if he wanted. Kobe said in a interview I didn’t wanna look back and say “what if”.
Hit that like button if you think Joe Bryant should be in the NBA Hall of Fame.
R.I.P. Kobe
I salute Mr Joe Jellybean Bryant 🥰 because he gave his son Kobe the height, the desire and the opportunity to play pro ball just like he did👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🥰💜💛💜💛💜💛💜💛💜💛💜💛💜💛 he's an awesome man,who raised an awesome son with his awesome wife👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🥰💜💛💜💛💜💛💜💛💜💛💜💛 rest in peace Kobe and GiGi too 😘
Pops could ball, big ups to pops
Wow had no idea he weared #23.. So Kobe had the right to wear #23 before Jordan if he wanted to!!!
Sweet....I think I remember him as an older dude....I will not forget his Son with helping others Brother. I am not a people person but Kobe had that love with him....still does ...love lives on...
Kobe pops was A beast
Hi edagdwg thanks for sharing be yourself and respect yourself and others God will show out with you Linda j Kobe and jellybean fan Linda j peace ❤️💯 mamba grandma this histoey is sooooo sweet sr. Mrs Bryant should be so humble.she is truly blessed two souls blessed her life Linda j peace forever mamba
The dunk on Kareem is almost like the dunk Kobe did against the Suns.
My Dad told me Jellybean thought he was Dr. J, the way Kobe thinks he's Jordan. The only difference is Kobe was almost right!
DeeNice681 Very well-put! Jellybean had an ego of a superstar but the talent of a decent player.
Michael Eyob is right he played like magic but everyone wanted him to just be a normal center
God bless Bryant family
Everyone say Kobe got his game from Jordan but after watching this it’s clear that Jordan got his game from Kobe’s Dad. Jordan was just more smooth and taught Kobe how to be smooth too instead of attacking hard like his dad use to. The times had changed from that and Jordan helped him evolve his game to modern times.
I had no idea that Kobe's dad is 6'9". WOW! He was made for basketball.
Yep. But I noticed Kobe got his relatively short fingers from his pops. Both of them couldn’t palm a basketball that well. In an interview, Phil Jackson mentioned that noticeable distinction between Kobe and MJ.
I sure as hell didn’t like how they treated his family at his memorial..smh
Dawkins, Bryant and Lloyd Free were called the 'Bomb Squad'. Damn when those 3 got in the Game it was like the Lakers Showtime. If Bryant was the 6th Man instead of Mix we would have won 5 Championships. Our Bench with the Bomb Squad was better than Most starting Squads!
I'm reading "SHOWBOAT The Life of Kobe Bryant" now, and becoming to want to watch the Jelly Bean's play. I understood that Kobe's play came from his father's.
コービーよりお父さんの方がサイズがあるし手足も長いんですね。
コービーのお父さんのプレイは華やかだなと思いました。
He studied his father game play with that jordan mentality & Kobe himself motivation 💯 you get the MamBa 🕊
0:50 joe dunked on Kareem
6’9 and can go coast to coast? Solid midrange shooter, and a solid player all around, I really can’t see a weakness he had
My condolences to the jellybean family
The freaky thing to me is that he wore #23 before Jordan. Kobe's father and his idol both wore #23. It is almost hard to wrap your head around that.
Bruh it’s not hard to know that they all liked Beans game but like Vince Carter or Carmelo Anthony they didn’t possess the killer instinct but if they did would have been top 5 players to ever play the game. MJ looked up to Bean and Julius Irving. And Kobe realized that and that’s why he felt he was better than MJ because he modeled himself around what he was born from
He dunked on kareem!!!
Wow! I was watching basketball as a small child during these years and I don't remember a Joe Bryant being on the 76'ers team. Maybe I started watching basketball after Mr. Bryant was no longer on the 6'ers team and that is perhaps why I don't remember seeing him. Back then when I was watching as a small child, Dr. J had a commercial promoting his converse sneakers, there were players on the 6er's team such as World B Free, Lionel Hollins, "Chocolate Thunder" Darryl Dawkins, you had Henry Bibby father of Mike Bibby, You had McGinnis on the team. I can remember later there being Doug Collins on the team, eventually you had Mo Cheeks, Andrew Toney but I swear I don't remember seeing a Joe Bryant or even hearing his name. It's amazing! Judging from his highlights, he was a decent player and I see a lot of Jelly Bean in The Black Mamba. Wow!!!
Love u kobe
R.I.P😭😭😭😭💔💔💔🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
J. Bryant played against Mychal Thompson and K. Bryant played against Klay Thompson. Boy, I'm getting old...
Elliott Avant
Don’t forget that Jelly Bean played against Rick Barry and Kobe played against Jon and Brent Barry. Ironically, Jelly Bean played with Bill Walton (1979-82) and Kobe played with Luke Walton (2003-2012). I’m getting old too, I’m pushing 50. Lol
Kobe's Dad was really good. It's funny that I had never heard of him until Kobe started in the NBA.
Just depends on your age. If you started watching during the 80s as a kid/teen, you might have known a few of the ballers from the 70s (especially Dr. J).
Damn, Kobes dad wore 23 before Jordan wore 23
@E1jay did you see Mike play, Kobe copied everything mj did, walked like him talked like him and definitely played like him.
R.I.P.ㅠㅠ
Thank you.
You could see the evolution in his game and that’s where Kobe started
Oooh Man!! Is this bad boy chronological?!!!? I think we know now just what (or who) made Kobe better than Jordan!! Rest In Power...
Rip kobe. One of the greatest of all time. Definately greatest laker of all time. But he was not better than jordan !! Even he would say that!
Do you have a daily motion account? I think you should upload the videos that get taken down to that site because they have no rules
What's that instrumental at the beginning and end called?
The real reason Kobe wore 24
Joe had a Handle!
Kobe dad was amazing
I salute you Mr. Bryant and Kobe, daddy was bad too the bone baby!
Kobe's dad wore 23 that's crazy symbolic
at 3:04 ... now we know where Kobe got that fake and tricky pivot move... LOL!
Notice how Joe ware the number 23 and played before Mj, it’s obvious that Kobe has basketball skills in his blood 🩸
Rip Kobe
I didn't know pops could ball 🏀 like that at 6"9.I never heard Kobe mention his dad.Kobe got his game from pops
Rip kobe
Rip Kobe!
This guys mid range was all that...
Dam pops was nice
I see a lot of Kobe in his father's game. I didn't realized how good his father was.
👑🙏🏾
Jelly Bean was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Now we know where Kobe got that beautiful jumpshot from... Joe Jellybean Bryant. RIP Kobe and Gianna🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
You can see where Kobe got it from
Kobe's uncle John"Chubby" Cox was a great point guard that was super quick
Doug Collins with the moves lol
Mo Cheeks with the Afro. He was a rookie in the 1978-79 season - Jelly Bean’s last season with the 76ers.
I see where Kobe got alot of his game from his pops Joe jellybean Bryant ,, R.I.P. KOBE THE BLACK MAMBA
Midrange game crazy one on one? Game was lit !
