do you have to get your sole proprietorship before the EIN number? or does it matter? Because i know when you apply for your sole it asks for your SSN or FEIN number. But then if you apply for your ein number it asks if you have a fbn or DBA? lol so i am confused and want to do it in the order it needs tobe

Hello. For the physical address can I use my virtual business address? My virtual business address and business located is in two different counties but same State
You should use the actual address where business will be conducted.

Applied for a EiN number in January 2021 still have no number nor have I heard one word from irs. It is not that simple. It has been 5 months now.

If I'm a US citizen living in Thailand (not a US territory), wanting to start an online dropshipping business (where I would be the sole proprietor) is it still a "requirement" that I register said business this way?
I don't know if it's a requirement. I don't think it's a requirement. You're allowed to sell goods on your own behalf.
BUT, if you do want an EIN, there's an area on IRS website for people applying from outside the US.

Not sure if this will help, but I'm based out of Texas and I registered (as a DBA) with the county I do business in (it cost $21+$6 for notarization of a document I downloaded from the county site; UPS has notarizing services). Most counties require you to register if you plan on doing business within their jurisdiction, especially if you're going to be charging sales tax in that county (you don't have to do charge sales tax for some goods/services but you'll have to find out if your goods/services does or doesn't met that requirement). Anyway, although I'm sure I could of still continued doing business without all this, I rather do things the legal way and i didnt cost much.
