Great ride Charlie. Thanks for keeping the 2 stroke alive.2 strokes Forever!!!
250 2 strokes BELONGS in their rightful class. A Black Number plate on the 250 2t looks sick too!!.
Hey Max, another great Video, what a Holeshot by Charlie, the look over several times over his shoulder to the corner was epic, he's seems to be a great kid, congrats to him on the Honda ride....
Absolutely fantastic content as usual max , nice little bit of info from Mr Thorpe explaining how they are looking to progress and develope Charlie's talent within the Honda racing team great stuff and cheers for following the youngsters as they are the lifeblood and future of Motocross !!
Thanks Justin, He's a special talent and DT is a great mentor so it will be an awesome combo.
Amazing to see the young lad, I wonder how many dads forking out for their lads 4 strokes are scratching their heads.
Bro same
I buy my own gear work on my own shit no from dad required to race
The hand strength from the ability to work the clutch puts them that much farther ahead once swapping to the new 4stroke bikes.
new 2 bangers really arent much cheaper than 4 strokes, hell a new yz250 costs more than a honda rebel 500 and i could use the latter as a reliable-to-death commuter vehicle and save massively on gas. no matter what engine you like, if youre buying new im extremely envious lol
Some people would be faster on 2 strokes. Some would be slower. Some riding styles are better suited to one or the other.
Fantastic ride! This young man has a bright future in store! Please excuse this Yankees ignorance of the British MX rules, but do the 250 2-strokes run head-to-head with the 250 4-strokes? In the States, if you want to race a 2-stroke against a 250 4-stroke I believe you must run a 125cc (and against the 450's you can only run a 250 2-stroke). Thanks
I wondered the same my friend! Great question 👍🏻 I’m in the U.S. myself.
It’s a rule in the pro class that you can run a stock 250 2stoke motor against the modified pro class 250 4 strokes im pretty sure
We need more kids like him
I got one. MX is my life but seeing my son ride far better than I ever did (and I was pretty talented) is beyond satisfied and I couldn't be more proud of him.
I am looking forward to seeing Charlie in the MX2 in a couple of years 💪🏻💪🏻
Charlie reminds me of a charmicheal / everts style at times with his style and that ain’t no bad thing 💪🏻
God bless you Charlie one hell of a ride from Charlie Western PA USA 👍👍
2 SMOKERS FOREVER !!!!!
So I see a lot of people commenting on the 250 2 stoke vs 250 4 stroke. It’s a pro class deal so they can get it cheaper for the guys not with a factory race bike. The factory race 4 strokes are heavily modified and make a lot of power. If you run a 2 stroke you have to run a stock motor. I’d bet a 250 4 stroke race bike is around $40,000 where a stock 2 stroke whith upgraded suspension is around 18,000$ depending how deep you go into it.
Wow very impressive and he didn't let the mistake on the first lap shake him. Way to go, congrats! 👏
Absolutely loved watching him race live on UA-cam great job great kid well done Charlie 🇬🇧🍀👍🙏thanks for sharing 999
Hi max 😁☺️🙂 realy happy for Charlie and start of his pro Carrer and nice interview with David future is bright in Motocross for him in sport I've loved since I was a little boy magic racing and vlog buddy 🙂 to look forward to seeing your next vlog
Good to see a young bloke ripping the 250 smoker, I wish America would pull their finger out and let the 250 two strokes race in the lights class
Anyone can run a two stroke in supercross or motocross in America there is no rules against it. I wish they would come back as well I miss the smell of premix race fuel in the pits
extremely impressive pre debut from one of my favorite riders! a bit sad that he will switch on the 4 stroke
Yeah that’s awesome what a rider guys like him Will make the bike manufacturers think about bringing back the basics of two strokes again people like myself are tired of the four stroke over cost of the Weedwhacker engines
Great video Max, Charlie rode really well, hope he does well in MX now he's gone pro, nice little interview with Mr Thorpe, keep you're quality videos flowing Max their fantastic.
The fact he says I’m on the 2 smoke beat me! I love it!
Love it!!!! Hope to see more of this guy spanking 4 stroke losers on his 2 stroke.
Awesome coverage max as always mate Charlie is definitely a face of the future a real star in the making
Well done excellent ride looking forward to see your progression
Well done Charlie and you have a bright future ahead of you. Nice to see you holding up the 2 Stroke flag
Gotta invite him out to ride the Yzilla! :D Awsome riding from him
Nice one Charlie, amazing ride👏💪
Epic ride 👍
Once that lad gets bike fit he is going to wipe the floor I believe..... its all there but half way through you could see him start to ease off...
What a mental ride for a young lad coming up...
Respect fella.... now go get bike fit and dominate....
Great coverage and commentary.
That Rocks Ass!! He'll Be a Champion one day. Got it!! From Tennessee.
Great coverage 999 Laser, hold it on
This kid has a bike with 50 horse power while the 250 4 strokes have around 41 horse power. So it's to his advantage if he knows how to ride the slippery 250 2 stroke which is unforgiving in that you have to be in the right gear always unlike 4 stroke you can be a gear high and not lose to much ground. If you are a gear high on the 2 stroke you better start fanning or downshift one time quickly.
Another mint video mate 🤙🏻
Love this and all of the vlogs max... and this kid is the real deal.fast like when tommy came out
Awesomeness 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 how long before we see more (mens) 250’s in this class!!!! Max get your cameras to wakes colne October 2nd for some top notch 2 stroke racing !!
That was a very good ride but that holeshot , looked like an unfair advantage of the 2 stroke, which for bikes having the same engine displacement, 2 strokes usually (up to 250cc) have at least 20% more power. Am I the only one not forgetting this?
30 years ago, the CR250 (2 stroke) almost had the double of the power of a XR250 (4 stroke).
It’s only Aloud in the pro class where they use modified works motors in the 4stokes and the 2 stroke has to be stock.
I'm a fan just because he's riding the two-stroke 💯🤘
Great video. Would be nice if you make one with Lotte Van-Drunen
Yes I agree. Lotte is a special talent. We've watched her since her 65 days in the EMX championship. If any one knows her get her to DM me and we'll make it happen.
Brilliant debut 🔥
Outstanding!
Definitely one for the future. 👍
First time I have seen this kid. Looks nice and relaxed. And he doesn't follow the rider in front. 👍
To see him under the guidance of St next year and Jake be gd to see . Be gd for him to get some emx races in as well i think fingers crossed he maybe are next top ten mx2gp rider
The attention on a 2 stroke, he will be so quick on the more relaxing 4 stroke! Draws a few parallels with Haiden Deegen in America...keep it going bud, you got the speed, no probs 👍
I agree Kyle. You need to keep your cool to lead a race first time out in the Pro's. I wouldn't be surprised if we see him and Deegan bang bars in a future MXON.
Amazing 👏🏼👏🏼
I'm a little confused. He gets to race a 250 2 strokes against 250 4 strokes???
In the American MX/SX, they will only allow you to ride a 125 2-stroke in the 250 4-stroke class. In the 450 4 strokes class, you can choose up to 250 2 strokes which is why it's such a big deal to qualify or score points on a 2 strokes at these events.
I personally hate it because you can't compete. I wish they would do something to allow 2 strokes to be competitive again!
Wild geeza.
At 17, I cried cus I fell off and broke clutch leaver.
Real men ride 2 strokes. Keep it up bud
Is the system in the U.K different from the others Europe and in the USA ?
those countries seem to start racing 250 's earlier.
17 is young but you could say actually old in racing terms for a 125 in worldwide terms
riders younger are racing EMX 250 and full time pro MX2 in Europe USA at that age
how come riders in the U.K seem around 2 or 3 years behind in getting on the bigger bikes and getting racing experience
is this why they don't seem to be doing as good coming up and into EMX MX2 etc ?
Can't wait to see him and Hayden deegan go head to head someday if ever happens
Charlie- Top💪
" Hey man" His into song should be David Bowie, suffragette city
Can you race a 250 2 stoke against 250 4 stokes over there?
That's exactly what I'm asking as the 2 stroke has way more power than the 4 stroke. Why isn't anyone else seeing this.
That kid had a big advantage.
@@999lazer changed the rules doesn't mean shit. Because the 2 stroke has alot more power than a 4 stroke. 50 to 41
@@stevokatzzz that's peak power if u looked at a dyno graph at say 6000 rmp the 250f will be making similar power. The 250f power is way more usable.
@@stevokatzzz from what I understood is it’s only in the pro class where the 250 4 strokes are heavily modified and they have to use a stock 2 stroke engine
I wish AMA would follow suit and allow 250 smokers with 250fs and 300+ smokers with 450s
Definitely what the AMA needs to do,Make it fair for the 2 strokes. The 4 strokes have had long enough to develop the 4 stroke.Give the Riders a Choice of what kind of Bike they want to ride.
A 250 2 stroke has 50 horse power
A 250 4 stroke has 40 horse power
AMA won't let them race against each other for that reason.
James Stewart raced a 250 2 stroke against 450 4 strokes only because Kawasaki was late on getting their 450 out 5 months later than the rest.
He beat everyone and him and RC would battle at the front with James on 2 stroke 250 and RC on 450 4 stroke.
So what does that tell you.
250 2 strokes can compete with 450 4 strokes but you have to know how to ride the 2 stroke and it takes a lot of shifting and strength.
Now the 125 2 stroke has problems keeping up with the 250 4 strokes.
Only James Stewart could back in the day pull fast laps on 125 2 stroke and quad jumps nobody else was doing on any bike.
That's a hard track
The track looks very difficult to ride.. unlike in the states, those guys dont get the experience
I’d say he did well…he’s making about 25% more horsepower than his 250f opponents.
Not it the pro class. Rule is Stock 2 stroke vs modified pro class 4stoke works motors are about even.
@@JAKDRZR if the 250 2 stroke is actually bone stock internally…which I find hard to believe for a bike used to compete at that level. BUT, I know very little about British MX, so I will take your word for it.
He's racing against 250 4-strokes....
The best career move that kid can make is stay on the 250 2 stroke and win the championship. The Honda 250F (AKA Mini Bike) will do nothing but slow him down with 1/2 the hp of the 250 2 stroke and nowhere near the agility. I hope Charlie considers that.
I was ther watching two days before
Thanks for watching🔝 🔝massage me right away I have something for you⬆️⬆️
Let ‘em smell your castor bean oil as you pass them by 🏆🍷
This isn’t entirely fair…250 2 stroke vs 250 4 stroke?
125 2 stroke should run against the 250 4 stroke.
@dpenduro8950 incorrect. 2 stroke vs 4 stroke per CC is NOT the same. So many MX races globally ONLY allow 125 2 stroke vs 250 4 stroke and 250 2 stroke vs 450 4 stroke.
Past is passing future.
You have to ride a 125 2 stroke if you are racing against 250 4
Not sure how he was allowed to enter this race. if he was to race a 2 stroke, they would normally make him ride a 125 cc. Back in the day the 250 two stokes would race 450 4 stokes to make it even... though it wasnt even, the 4 strokes has clear advantage. But its still unfair to race 250 2 stroke in this class , it has wayyyy more hp, not fair. He wont be allowed to do that again.
Alright 👍👍
How is it he can race a 250 2 stroke against the 4 strokes??? UK rules different than US? Thought the 250 2 strokes were meant to be in the same classes as 450s..
Pretty good ride but he would be mid pack at a amateur national in the states
2stroke smoke 100%!
Well, I was so excited seeing this. I was actually going to start tuning into MX2 and watching it just to see thss kid on a 2 stroke. And I'm from America and don't care about European motocross at all. But now since he's going to Honda, and he's switching to a 4 stroke. I will not be watching, and I hope he breaks his back. This is so wrong of him to leave the 2 stroke.
Thanks for watching🔝 🔝massage me right away I have something for you⬆️⬆️
All those arrows on the thumbnail necessary ?
Is that space between necessary and the question mark……… necessary? Have a lie down will ya 🫣😩
grande
Over all 2 stroke has alot more horse power than the 4 stroke both being 250s.
2 stroke have more hp but not a lot as you think. Today is modern year and that 250 only have 2 to 3 hp more or so. In fact, they are roughly equal
@@vaughanhodgson yup 4 stroke have been updated so much where 2 stroke barely have updated
@@reedgalbraith6508 you thought it’s funny, today in modern age they not stupid enough to put 250 2 stroke against modern 450f and it’s not fair. Put modern 450f against outdated 500 2 stroke it more comparable
Good to see 250 2banga up against 250 4strokes. Looks like he was playing with them off the line. That's what rules should have been when 4strokes motocross bikes started racing not double the capacity, all for sales. Change to these race rules. 4strokes would go back to farm and road motorcycles where they belong. Avagud1 sic racing young Charlie. Tell Honda to start developing 2strokes again if they want you to race.funny
the problem with 2strokes in a field full of 4strokes: the 2 strokes needing complete other lines, they cant drive them out bcs the thumper destroying these lines. so they have to use the 4 stroke line who not will fit the ridingstyle. :/
4th over all and he doesn't have a factory ride?
That 2stroke makes twice the power. Of course he's winning in a 250 class. Lmao
Lol 😆 🤣 😂 those 250f would have the same power as his 250t this isn't 1990
Ben Franklin 😂
2 stroke has more power than 4 stroke . Only thing it takes a while for the powerband to kick in which if you know how to keep the bike at that level constantly then you are the fastest ln the track vs 4 stroke . Isn’t that hard
Happens all the time young guys come out swinging and then as soon as they jump on a four stroke they get buried in the pack.
250cc 2stroke should be competing against 450 strokes
2stroke is powerfull than 4 stroke
👏👍👌🇳🇴
Well yeah a 250 2 stroke is faster than a 250 4 stroke always will be
He’s on a 250 2 stroke vs 250fs. He should be on a 125 or racing 450s. What are you guys on about?
Gets a hole shot on a much faster bike than everyone else, surprise surprise.
Right! Notice how he never mentions the size of the four strokes. It's just a 250 2 stroke vs the 4 strokes.... Lmfao 🤣
Tough track impressive come to the state's if ya wanna learn how to RIP. Just kibin
Yall brits look like c riders toward the end of the moto lol
2 bad Honda will probably force him to ride the 4sucker.
Go two strokes
250 2 strokes should be going against 450 4 strokes
125 2 strokes are in 250 4 stroke class. No wonder he’s ripping 🤣
You said he's on a 250 2-stroke? I would think 125cc 2-stroke in mx2 or he's cheating big time. Not the way you want to start your pro career as a cheater even though the MXGP officials wouldn't let him even line up with a 250 2-stroke against 250 4-strokes.
Charlie's crew needs to let him know that looking behind him is a huge no-no. Always keep your eyes forward and don't worry about what's happening behind you. When riders behind him see him looking they take that as a sign that Charlie is either getting tired or he doesn't have the confidence that he can compete with them. I'm in a position right now to put a one rider team together in the states and it's extremely difficult to find riders who are focused on winning and nothing else. If anyone has been watching the Nationals these days it's easy to see that everyone is more than content to just settle into a position then put it in cruise control and play follow the leader all the way to the checkered flag. Gone are the days of riders fighting each other tooth and nail for seventh place. I watch overseas racing because those guys battle each other all moto long. The last time I saw American riders truly fight for their positions was back in the eighties with the sole exception of the Carmichael/Reed days. It seems that riders are only interested in getting paid and buying toys. I'm hoping I can find that one guy who hates finishing in second place like Larocco, RC, RJ and of course the Hurricane himself.
Your not a commentator. Ruined the video
that 17 year old can ride what a great performance on his pro ride fantastic i hope he goes all the way, nice to hear that 2 stroke being ridden hard
Thanks for watching Arthur. It was good to hear a 2 stroke amongst all the fourstrokes!
