- I normally don't get to film the garbage truck but the normal driver got the week off so this guy collected. He hasn't collected for two years so I am guessing that is why there was some accidents. This guy was cool with me filming him. Enjoy, there might not be much more of republic services garbage. I go back to school on Wednesday.
Oh and the reason I stopped was because my camera was out of storage

Due to he is on camra, An there is no Dam way this truck driver should be putting trash in the truck by hand,
These H/Os should be fined For the trash that is not in the Trash Cans,
Republic offers unlimited routes in a lot of areas, and this was likely an unlimited route, becase of the usability of a curroto can for speed and collecting excess items on the ground.
Imagine a world where every bit of trash we had would fit into one of those little cans. A miracle

@@SumriseHD In some places people have a choice of trash companies. as a company you can have only so much bad pr. or it will stop you from expanding or even keeping getting contracts. this is a private company not a state/town employee. so they can be replaced.

this type of waste would never be allowed on normal garbage trucks in germany. you have to do a request for bulky waste which cost extra money on top of the normal waste taxes

Bulk days still usually have at least 2 guys working. Ours use a huge machine to pick up oversized items

This is interesting. In my neighborhood, if it's not inside the trash can, it's not the trash man's problem. This poor guy, lugging boxes! The city needs to be more supportive of its workers and less tolerant of jerk residents.

He should have a shovel up on the front of his truck, but yes he did hide it well for the kids but he also said he was off for 2 yrs n just came back so hes probably not frustrated yet lol

@@nfsfreak98 Yeah, where I just moved from, they put a sticker with the rules on the garbage and recycling cans (English + Spanish/ large Spanish-speaking population), and put them on the city website as well. Including accepted materials, when yard waste is picked up, and what is/is not allowed in the recycling can + garbage cans. If you don't follow the rules (everything must be in the container, for starters), they will not take it. For big stuff, you either have to bring it to the transfer station yourself, or pay for a special bulky waste pickup sticker and put the item out on a certain day. Definitely can be annoying, but I understand it from the point of the trash collectors. Due to the narrow streets, they wheel the garbage cans over to the truck by hand and check what's inside before loading it into the truck. They also always have 2 guys whenever I've seen them.

I currently drive a missed trash truck a small 350 pick up with a dump bed and a flipper had to get a stop the other day this little boy followed me around on an electric bigwheel let him flip the can absolutly adorable. Goofly lil fella

This model truck is quite bizarre to what we have here in virginia and plus, our trucks ONLY pick up cans. We have another truck pick up hard trash like the mattress and all those boxes. Sometimes they get left because I think theres a certain way you have to dispose of it.

Good on him for actually getting out & grabbing all the extra bs. We rarely do this at my company bc it states in their contract that they're not allowed to just place a ton of garbage on the ground & overflow the bins etc. Ive also neva seen a curotto where you stand up lol

Garbageman sure have to put up with a lot of crap from people. I don’t know when This was madebut now they have certain rules they have about how the garbage is to be packaged up for the trash guys to take away. They don’t have time to be picking up bits of Styrofoam off the ground because somebody’s too lazy to put it in an appropriate container or seemingly purposely putting the objects to be taken away there in an in ordinate manner just so it makes it hard on the trash guy. Yeah they make a lot of money but sometimes no money is worth what you have to endure in any job you have. And having blabby kids interrupting every five seconds doesn’t help with your time frame for getting your job done. I appreciate the garbagemen, it’s a job I never would want to have but I am grateful that somebody does it for me. I remember when I was a kid we had garbage service but we also took things to the dump ourselves, but the dump then like it is now, Our dump was more like a flea market LOL. !!!!!⭐️

The amount of waste the average household in America produces is insane. Think about it. This is a nine minute glimpse of ONE morning, in ONE culdesac, in ONE town, in ONE state. And this happens weekly for decades! Where does all the trash go?!

Ticks me off when people use junk fall apart boxes or containers to put more garbage in what is already garbage. He's working alone. Our men would not have taken all of it and had a box fall apart like that- they would have left the mess and let the owner clean it up.

he is a swing driver. covering a route. being nice. no pick up service is required to do the extra work. its called in as am extra haul with photos. i used to pick up everything as a driver. then hurt myself doing extra extra just to be nice. now im 30 and have arthritis that hurts no one but me.
