The person who looks after all these aquatiums and the beautiful fish in'em must operate on a different level. Good on him, it's absolutely mind blowing xx
18:30 had me dying, especially when he started laughing. Little Rich 😂 So great to hear him enjoying himself ❤ I would get in the pool. As long as it wouldn't harm the fish.
10:20 those are actually not teeth, the fish you focused on is Colossoma macropomum (black pacu) which have an extension of its lip which looks like fangs but are actually used to help them skim the surface for floating fruits and nuts. The other species in there is Piaractus brachypomus which is the red belly pacu that don't have that extension of the lip since they're a bit more omnivorous scavengers and tend to feed more in the water column naturally.
The albino stingray reminds me of a large swimming omelette 😂 I'm building a 2200L (580 Gallon) plywood aquarium and looking at these in the video i think mine is so small 😅
The passion is oozing out, which is so great to see. Those monster tanks probably got Joey thinking... Also loved the squirrel moments "OH look a disco ball"
There's never going to be enough times i can see how magnificent this rescue is. Loved their video swimming with the monster fish. How cool! The place is fantastic. I would love to go there in person some day.
This place is incredible. Never heard of anyone putting an arapaima in a tank before. The cichlids complement it so well and make it feel so real. A special treat indeed!
The first acrylic tank was Dwight Howards tank built by ATM on the show tanked..held fish and his snake..the 2 20ft long tanks were ATM built for the Bellagio in Vegas.
This is insane he has an aquarium pretty much in his house, id react the same way its so interesting to see what a crazy amount of fish he’s got. Makes me wanna start a tank of my own!
Everything is on the same system, except the quarantine tanks. They had the big one in a cold water tank off the system, but they put it back on the system to help with filtration. He seems to be doing fine with the warmer water, but they're aware of the issue. They have large, cold water ponds in their backyard, but they don't want to lose the ability to see him. No word on the long term plan for him yet, but they have fish in there that are decades old, they'll take care of it.
@@hardybryan I've seen so many sturgeon die way too early when people kept them with their other predatory fish, like 2-3 years into keeping them, it's truly sad with fish that has so many years on them to grow big and healthy :( my dad keeps 4 beluga sturgeon in his natural pond in sweden, magnificent 2.5 meter beasts :D
Whats crazy is how educational your videos are me and my ex went to an aquarium when we where together and I was like. "Oh thats Arowana and thats a Bichir. She was like. "Oh my god how do you know all this. My response - "Joey". Keep it up best UA-camr
FINAMINAL VIDEO Joey! Glad you were able to make it out and see it in person. When you did the podcast with them a year ago it almost seemed like you weren't impressed, but I can tell you have a different perspective now. Hope you enjoyed your time in the States!
Thanks for sharing this video with us, Joey. The Ohio Fish Rescue is, by far, one of the best facilities that maintain tropical fish. Arguably, their collection dwarfs many public aquariums. It is an awesome place to visit.
Love the raw unfiltered tour! Your antics are hilarious and that bird was ready to throw beaks and claws at you 😅 I absolutely have to visit this place when given the chance! Maybe when I have adequate space to build my dream pond I can adopt some of those monsters. I'd love to be able to provide a forever home to a rescued tank busting monster fish or two!
The worlds largest saltwater aquarium in an actual Home is in bora bora a small island in the South Pacific. The aquarium is around 90,000 gallons and the home is currently for sale for 50 million. Search it up. It might take some digging.
Loved seeing this video of one of my favorite UA-cam channels, Ohio Fish Rescue. But you forgot to show my favourite thing which is the outdoor Koi pond. It’s amazing 😊
Pretty cool seeing my Flagtail named Rio on your channel. Big Rich does an amazing job caring for the fish. One thing awesome about seeing those tanks in person is that everything is so much bigger in person.
My late sister use to keep AFRICAN SICLETS (don't know if i spelled that correctly, i'll it up later) , she wanted PIRANHA but was told ,(in NJ at that time, mid 1990's ), it was illegal to have them in the State.
It seams like Joey Really believes the Fish can understand every word he says lol. I mean sure, I joking talk to my fish, But Joey Really talks to them like they Human beings! Haha
That's not a convict cichlid brother. It's called a polar blue or tiger blue parrot fish. It's a blood parrot female breed to a male convict. You can get them in white and harlequin patterns.
Shows how opinionated you are to say these fish are the largest fish kept in home aquariums. Not even close to really of the real world outside “UA-cam”.
Ok I'm a bit new to aquarium life... I believe about a year ago I found a pig nose turtle in the middle of the road in Louisiana I didn't know what to do no one would come pick it up so I took hi. To the nearest lake. I gues I did the right thing wasn't sure if they were aquatic or not ?
I don't believe they don't have any salt water aquariums all they do is fresh water but the salt cost more and it takes a lot more fo care for the salt really but I thank that fresh water has the better selection of fish.
The peeps at Ohio Fish Rescue are awesome - when you see what they do, it is a totally different level indeed. I've been following them for a few years now and it's unbelievable that they have the energy to do this day in and day out. Legends!
i am LOVING this "series" last few weeks of videos. you can see the passion in Joey and good things are coming!
wow pinned 2 days in a row. i feel special!

Ohio Fish rescue is a charitable organization, so follow them on UA-cam and support them monetarily if you can 😊
Big Rich also takes care of his wife in his home. She has been in a coma like state for about 2yrs. I don't know how he does it !!
That would only be Josh.
I volunteered to drink your booze!! Haha
It makes me happy seeing you get excited about fish again.
U need build a pond twice as.big. Don't let those yankees out do you
I think Little Rich is actually a polar blue parrot cichlid. But the name really works 😂
Agreed on both points.
4:38, that aquarium was actually built for Dwight Howard, on the tv show Tanked
18:30 had me dying, especially when he started laughing. Little Rich 😂 So great to hear him enjoying himself ❤
I would get in the pool. As long as it wouldn't harm the fish.
What kind of fish is that?
@maxxisrazr It's a convict I believe.
@@maxxisrazr2012 it’s actually a polar parrot it’s a mix of a blood parrot and a convict that’s why it looks so funny
It's been so great to see two of my favorite aquarium YT creators comin' together like this.
Also, the "Little Rich" part-amazing. OFR needs to run w/ it

Great video. I laughed audibly with you at 18:30. Hahahahaha
do you know what Joey you look like a little boy in a candy store.
I can imagine how much fun you had in Ohio, if this is what you did.
The passion is oozing out, which is so great to see. Those monster tanks probably got Joey thinking... Also loved the squirrel moments "OH look a disco ball"
It’s the bird in the background for me😂😂😂😂

Missed the outside pond with Koi and the PaddleFish .. another 30k gallons .. insanity 😮
Thanks, joey. i really do love their fish house. Take care, brother
some of those tanks remind of tanks from the show tanked
This place is incredible. Never heard of anyone putting an arapaima in a tank before. The cichlids complement it so well and make it feel so real. A special treat indeed!
the Arapaima is probably to small at the moment to be put in the swimming pool with the large adults they have
The arapaima is named Brutus. He waits for the cichlids to feed on pellets, then he tries to nail a few of them. He knows how to fish!
The first acrylic tank was Dwight Howards tank built by ATM on the show tanked..held fish and his snake..the 2 20ft long tanks were ATM built for the Bellagio in Vegas.
Didn’t realize that the electric eel tank was 8’ long! Things must deff be bigger in person!
What a shame that these beautiful animals will probably never get to see the wild again.
Yeah Joe that was a old Dwight Howard snake tank it had Oscars in the front with a python in the back it would look better as a fish tank
Joey needs a indoor pond with monster fish 😂
That albinO ray looked like a pankake! sorry, i had to say it
Joey, don't you think you pissed the guy off when you said he looked "ridiculous" like the fish? Not a good guest, dude. Great tour though.
This is insane he has an aquarium pretty much in his house, id react the same way its so interesting to see what a crazy amount of fish he’s got. Makes me wanna start a tank of my own!
Are Pacu vegetarian or omnivores or carnivores?
Omnivores
You are to far south sir
He is saying Joey do it as in swim in the monster pond lol
They definitely have an amazing place but definitely have a lot of work caring for all them
I too heard him call you that😂😂💀💀💀
I have waited years for you to come check these guys out they are amazing!!
Love this video! I really liked hearing you laugh at that convict “Lil’ Rich” 🤣 too funny! I want him! The convict, that is!!! So fun there!

awesome tour Joey.. I love OFR!
Thx for the tour Joey! I like it that u prefer the wild type look to fish, not mutant veiltails and albinos

These fish was at my aquarium near me and I was so amazed how huge they are!! Nothing like it in vidoe but in person it’s so huge!! Like tall as me
Stergin is my bucket list fish and Gian bull shark oh and pike
It was when you said that the first room was NOT in fact the main fish room, my jaw dropped to the floor
Way too crowded, like to see an update cause I'm wondering how many of the fish are still alive...
Must be nice this is my ultimate goal to have a huge tank full of nothing but predatory fish the most aggressive freshwater fish
Now this is the Joey I like. Your passion is back and it shows

Joey I beat the case remember I ask ya to name a fish after me bro got job got a home and in time out whith babe
Had me laughing about the pacu.. look at the water pigs 😅😂

Sounds like you went swimming in the tanks with the mic before filming haha
I truly wonder how one man takes care of all of this 😂😂😂😂?
Pico mics! Wireless and sounds great
10mins ago, 🎉
great video tyvm for sharing :)
The correct word is enormous or enormousness, NOT enormity. Take care.
The bird copied you sounded like you have to listen closely
Does anyone what the black long fish is at 14:42?
That is an African arowana
I was wondering too, maybe a black African arowana?

Hey, bro can u send ngs for my tank i can explain in a dm but need some help with things for salt water n ur tanks awesome
2:29 imagine he’s just 3’9 and its a small pond with tiny little fish 😂
joey you better never keep your redtail in the same tank as your bichir
Totally Amazing ❤

the tank w the seperator is dwight howard’s tank for his snake
And I thought my weekly water changes were a chore.
No one is not going to talk about the light moving in the background?
I have never ever wanted an indoor pool, not even once in my whole life... _until now_
Isn't that the snake fish tank from that show "Tanked" (the one with the tree in it)
Great video!!
I think I caught ADD watching this video
8:20 Joey omg to the Corona 😂
Rich is a good host! haha... every one of those no longer exist. I made sure to show rich that i can drink like a fish! hahaha
That’s a polar blue parrot fish not a convict
I'm in Canton and I didn't know this was around thank you
