10 National Teams That Are OVERLOADED in One Position
National teams are really interesting because you have little to no control over the talents you get on your team. You just have to make use of what your nation has been blessed with. In some cases, national teams have too much blessing in one position and not so much elsewhere, and well, we want to look at cases like that today.
These are 10 national teams overloaded in one position.

Do a club version of this
You missed Sweden, we are overloaded in benchwarmers. We can probably field at least two non-starting elevens with players who haven't seen regular game time at club level for years. We have Lindelof, Robin Olsen, Emil Forsberg, Cajuste, Elanga, Albin Ekdal... The list goes on!
😂😂
Romania as well mate 😂😅
😂😂 Offload them to Uganda🇺🇬
I heard they will expand Euro tournaments to 32 teams, so Sweden may qualifiy 😂
elanga plays for forrest every match
For Nigeria you even forgot lookman and Boniface
True boniface already has buli potm
Lookman plays wings now
Good point. And it’s crazy that Osimehn is so good all these strikers will probably never be the main striker
@@cesargatica2630 I think Boniface will surpass Osimhen in the future, cuz he's working with a pretty good manager unlike ours 😢
fr boniface and oshimen will be deadly
Brazil is also overloaded at Winger. Vini, Neymar, Rodrygo, Raphinha, Martinelli, Antony, Savio, David Neres, Malcom and Luiz Henrique,
Savio, david neres and the other you mentioned are nobodies. Antony is also a fraud
Lol yes
True but the starters are obvious. Vini and rodrygo. Bench is martinelli and antony
@@mysterantmotions raphinha
nah man
One thing I will say is I'm impressed with Brazil. They had no good gk in 2014 (Julio Cesar was past his prime) and they struggled there. Now they have 2 champions league winning gks. That's amazing to see
They had prime Cassio, he made Corinthians wins World cup club. But stupidly preferred JC.
Brazil was not short of GK in 2014 at all. It was just a matter of choice by status rather than performance.
@dominic....You forgot Brazil's 3rd goalie touted as the best goalkeeper on the South American continent at the time and even winning the Copa Libertadores, South America's equivalent of Europe's Champions League with his club Palmeiras.
I always found it ironic that Slovenia had 2 of the best goalkeepers in the world Handanović and Oblak, and every other position wasn't that good. but now they have Šeško and Handanović is retired.
I remember there was a funny time period where the 2 best players in the entire country of Slovenia were 2 goalkeepers and the rest of that squad was literal nobody
Bijol, Lovric, Kampl, Ilicic modern
Birsa, Novakovic, Zahovic, Acimovic, Nastja Ceh past
Also apart Oblak and Handanovic, Slovenia never had a half-decent goalie, not saying about top tier (bold hopes for Martin Turk)
Brazil now beinh overloaded in the defensive midfielder position is quite ironic when you consider that back in a day Casemiro lied about being a CDM just to get some gametime, as no one wanted to play there
Indeed, the current Brazilian squad is quite different from how the team has typically looked historically. Brazil used to produce an endless slew of elite attackers and fullbacks, and while it still has some good players nowadays at these positions, neither is particularly overloaded.
Wingers are pretty overloaded @@chesscomsupport8689
I like to think that 80% of the top Brazillian CDMs chose to play this position to avoid competitions and now they’re overloaded in that very position
Germany in midfield with Kimmich, Gündogan, Goretzka, Groß, Andrich, and Can
And in the offensive midfield with Musiala, Wirtz, Brandt, Havertz, Müller, Reus and Hofmann
😂😂 its normal,, every teams needs many midfielders... depend on the coach strategy..
Its more suitable to said too many GKs for germany..
They only lack of strikers
@@abrisam2461and rb/lb because kimmich is midfielder now
Kai havertz is a cf
In Argentina there are plenty of strikers like Martinez,Alvarez, icardi, Simone etc.
A lot number 10s like messi , di maria ,dybala, angel correa, thiago almada, papu gomez etc etc
In Brazil there are a lot of wingers like neymar , martinelli , vini jr ,rodrygo, raphinha ,antony etc..
yeah and historically weve had a lot of competition for the 9 and even right now
Even Lionel Messi is a striker at Argentina, and Martinez doing the golden glove gesture 🧤
The funny thing is that despite having an abundance of goalkeepers, it will be Germany who will be caught lacking in that very position soon. Their best goalkeepers are now ageing, and they are simply not producing good enough talent for that position anymore. For a country that has for decades now produced insanely good keepers, it is a shame they can't keep up with themselves anymore.
Well I am pretty sure they will produce some class GK in next 5-7 years
Same as Brazil with CFs.
Scotland and their outbreak of left-backs. From Kieran Tierney to Andy Robertson then Aaron Hickey.
Don’t forget Ralston and Taylor too
Englands Midfield is basically set with Rice and Bellingham always getting the nod and then either using TAA, Madison and or Foden depending on the formation and style of play for the game
Brazil in left wing have Vinicius,Martinelli,Neymar,Rodrygo & even Paqueta,Richarlison can play there.
You did NOT just mention Karius as being a top German goalkeeper 😂
France has Camavinga on every position 😂 3:20
France🇫🇷 ST - Mbappe, Griezmann, Giroud, Nkunku, Kolo Muani, Thuram, Martial, Lacazette, Ben Yedder
Germany🇩🇪 COM - Müller, Musiala, Havertz, Wirtz, Hofmann, Brandt, Götze
England🏴 LW - Sterling, Foden, Grealish, Rashford, Maddison
Switzerland🇨🇭 GK - Sommer, Kobel, Omlin, Mvogo
Germany🇩🇪 CB - Rüdiger, Hummels, Süle, Tah, Ginter, Schlotterbeck
Brazil🇧🇷 Wing - Neymar, Vinicius, Raphinha, Antony, Rodrygo
Also you forgot to include Parejo, Olmo and Brahim Diaz to Spain
Dont forget Victor Boniface for Nigeria! He is exploding in the Bundesliga.
Even Nigeria have a lot of strikers
Bro really said Loris Karius for the Germany No.1 😂
i mean people was saying that he was gonna be one of the best gk in the world just a few years ago
@@Lampgoat fair enough
Yeah,Karius is mentioned infront Lars Unnerstal(FC Twente) who is Oliver Kahn personally to Karius.I don't like this lists because players are in debute only from top 5 leagues,I mean and others play football too.
umtiti for france as well 😭bro is in 2018
croatia is overloaded in midfield, there is so much depth that a lot of them play as forwards for the national team (ivanusec, pasalic, vlasic, persic) while there is the trio of modric brozovic and kovacic, 3 world class players who could be replaced by upcoming talents like majer, baturina etc.
They play as forwards because Croatian attack is awful not because Croatia have much depth, and cus Croatia have no Wingers. Also Croatia is definitely not overload in midfield. LMAO. Good midfielders are old while young players are average at best
All i know is England and France have crazy depth in wingers
England can literally form a Starting XI of Right Backs.
England's right backs are good southgate will really have to crack his head to choose among them
Germany in offensive midfield:
Musiala
Müller
Brandt
Wirtz
Hofmann
Reus
Havertz
Götze
(Gnabry)
(Sane)
Spain lacks goalkeepers???
Unai Simon
David Raya
Robert Sanchez
Kepa
De Gea
These guys comfortably ditched Kepa and De Gea for the world cup
Kepa was injured during the World Cup, prior to that he defo could’ve been Number 1 and AT WORST #2 behind Simon at the tournament
@@beniprec3189 kepa was projected to be fit before Spain's first game. He could have been called. He was just ditched. Even if he went, he won't bench Unai Simon
and don't sleep on remiro, pau lopez, soria, and inaki pena
@@rifkifayzi Soria and Remiro criminally underrated. Also people sleeping on Alvaro Valles from Las Palmas
Korea is obviously a smaller team than most of these here but LW is a packed position. Son, Hwang from Wolves and Lee from PSG
They can play at the same time
@@AltairBernard fair but trippier can play lb and trent cm too for example so it’s a similar thing
@@yani674you'd still leave out awb, James, walker and many more
@@kaustavchakraborty6811 ik those were just 2 examples bc he said they can play in different positions
Italy, left backs: Federico Di Marco, Cristiano Biraghi, Destiny Udogie, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Leonardo Spinazzola. All quality LB’s.
Di lorenzo is a rb bro
Japan’s right wing’s overloaded. Ito usually starts and Kubo probably the current best Japanese footballer sits on the bench. Doan’s a RW too.
At one point sometime ago Brazil was so overdosed with quality defensive midfielders, it had become a crisis: Casemiro, Fabinho, Bruno Guimaraes, Douglas Luiz. And now with Fabinho gone, talented and promising new boys have been thrown in the fray: Andre (Fluminense), Danilo (Nottingham Forest), and Andrey Santos
You forgot Brazilian wingers bro.
Neymar Jr., Vinicius, Martinelli, Rodrygo, Everton, Raphinha, Antony, Neres, Malcom, Tete, Angelo gabriel and many more
Germany's overload at GK, like Spain's at midfield, is nothing new. There was a time when Jens Lehmann could barely get any playing time because of Oliver Kahn.
to be fair, Trent shouldnt even be playing RB
Tbf, he's won all his trophies in that position for years. Wonder why
He’s known for his lackluster defending and superb crosses. Much more suited as a RM
i heard he originally plays cmf in academy and only play rb in klopp era so he can break to first team
Spain is also overloaded with left-backs and Argentina are loaded not in positions but in playmakers I mean creative players that can change the game alone in their clubs
Di maria, dybala, messi, angel correa, all are rw and no 10 .
6:14 fun fact:karius is not that bad,but its a bit too late now.
Giving a right back the number 10 just feels wrong 0:32
He played in midfield that game vs malta so ig you can make a case
@@sushipizza4439 oh OK thanks
@@fiahplaysroblox giving cancelo the #7 for city also looked odd ngl
Serbia has lot of CF(Mitrovic.Vlahovic,Jovic,Joveljic,Djuricic
Finally someone said it.... I was waiting for this comment
Midfield also: Sergej, Tadic, Ilic, Grujic, Gudelj, Lukic, Samardzic, Maksimovic... all quality players
Serbia have really good players. Talent wise in top 10 in Europe for sure
Argentina is overloaded with GKs. They have
Emi Martinez(Aston Villa)
Franco Armani(River Plate)
Walter Benitez(PSV )
Gero Rulli(Ajax)
Juan Musso(Atalanta)
Mateo Morro(independiente)
The only one who gets chance and a full time player is Emi Martinez.
How can you forget james tavernier such an underrated rb for England
Still Argentina win world cup with their limited but quality talent ❤❤
Brazil attack: Neymar, Vini, Rodrygo, Martinelli, Jesus, Raphina, Richarlison, Antony 🔥
underrated channel tbh. Great video idea and great video. I can see this becoming a big channel.
Totally forgot Boniface, Lookman
you forgot boniface for nigeria
It really is a shame that two of Scotlands biggest talents (which for them to have one is special) play the SAME position. Thankfully though they don’t play the same way and can be fit into the same team
I always thought Tierney was going to be the best in the world, still a lot of time for him tho
In Spain u also forgot about Merino
And Nigeria has Victor Boniface
🇳🇬 we have victor boniface as well, ademola lookman etc..🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
Nice vid. Can you please do the opposite like Germany got zero world class CF and etc ?
Argentina had in the past, Messi, agüero, Higuaín,di María, Dybala crazy names
Batistuta, Balbo, Crespo, Cruz, Claudio Lopez, Palermo, Saviola, Milito
For a reason that I don't explain myself, plenty of the nigerian strikers played in Belgium : Boniface, Orban, Awoniyi, Onyekuru, Moffi, Osimhen, Onuachu, Dennis and Dessers.
a lot of nigerians play in the JPL because transfer and scouting costs are cheaper there and the league isnt as difficult as the top 5 so the players have an easier time adjusting
Nigeria ha so many elite central strikers
Japan has a lot of attackers and strikers ......minamino,doan, maeda, kubo, kyogo, ito, asano,
muto,okazaki, Nakamura,haragushi,ueda
Abeg Japan Frontline and attackers and strikers are much
You have to even check Korea too now lets talk about Asia who are now disgracing big name in Europe 🌍😮
England's Midfield is not stacked, easy starting three of Bellingham, Madison and Rice, the others you mentioned are either wingers or simply not even good enough to compete with those three even if they were in the same team. Ward-Prowse is a baller by the way
absolutly, no doubt there. guys like philips and gallagher are youngster who still have a lot to prove. grealish and phoden are more wingers. the guy tottaly exagerates the notion of being overloaded. in the right back is actually harder to choose, but midfield is easily those three.
Phoden is not a winger. He only plays there because of de bruyne.
@@lalobo99Same as Bernardo. Soon as De Bruyne starts retiring, Bernardo will get the midfield position.
@@slenderbc0751 You really think 29 year old Bernardo Silva is Pep's long term replacement for De Bruyne?
@@lalobo99 Yes, their age difference is only 2, years to David Silva and De Bruyne.
Bro really skipped Victor Boniface😭
England have a world class team , what they need is a quality manager
i think argentina once got all these attackers : dybala, messi, higuain, lautaro, aguero, icardi and some others
Who makes these lists?
"Spain are short in GKs" we have Unai Simon as a starter, players that don´t start are Real Madrid´s starting GK (Kepa), Chelsea´s starting GK (Robert Sanchez), Arsenal´s GK David Raya (arguably starter), Real Sociedad´s starting GK (Remiro).
Meanwhile, for Brazil you have said they have lots of midfielders (a part of the pitch where usually 2 players can play), you have included Saudi League Fabinho and Allan, can´t make it in Barça-Juve-Liverpool Arthur, and Fred.
For Germany you have said they have lots of GKs and you included on the list the likes of Ortega, Trapp, Karius, Baumman... which are all worse than Spanish
Spanish left backs:
jordi alba
Fran garcia
Alex balde
Cucurella
Reguilon
Angelino
Gayà?
Golden age Spain midfield: Xavi, Iniesta, Busquet, Fabregas, Alonso, Cazorla, Silva, Mata, Javi Martinez, Thiago, Koke and Isco.
Arguably the best midfield line up to ever play the game. The 2008 squad was on another level.
Italy in gk: Donnarumma, Meret, Vicario and Provedel are all top , also Carnesecchi, Turati, Silvestri, Terracciano and Perin are pretty good
+ Di Gregorio and Falcone
Sadiq umar should be starter with osimhen in Nigeria
France has so many CBs that it is providing 100% of the starting Spanish CBs: Laporte and Le Normand. Which are less good than the 10th best French CB.
great video!
I feel like argentina has a Lot of good Strikers. You obviously have Lautaro Martínez AND Julián Álvarez. But also Nicolás González, Ángel Correa, Joaquín Correa, Beltrán, Icardi, Giovanni Simeone, Dybala Is not exactly a Striker but hes also there
dybala come like messi, original wing player but can play as striker and cam
Nico Gonzalez has never been a striker. The others Beltran,Tucu Correa, Angel Correa and Diego Simeone are average and no longer called for National duties. dybala is shadow of his prime, he is very talented but lacks pace and has poor work rate.
However 2014 Argentina squad had the best strike options with Aguero,Higuain and Tevez not forgetting Lavezzi, Dimaria, Pastore at the wings. Not having mentioned Messi himself. That was world class.
You can’t mention England and not talk about their wingers Rashford Foden Grealish Sterling Sancho Saka Bowen
France with their mid fielders
Griezman, rabit, pogba, kante, camavinga, tvhou
Argentine with Messi, Di Maria, Dybala, Garnacho, etc
Serbia and Strikers-mitrovic,tadic,vlahovic, jovic,ratkov,birmancevic,lukovic,
😮not even a passing mention of Argentina 😮...despite the obvious "all roads lead to LM", you need to check their squads if you are being thorough and Morocco and Croatia...but what do I know😂
Germany at the CAM position: Müller, Musiala, Havertz, Brandt, Wirtz, Hofmann, Reus, Götze and maybe Goretka or Neuhaus
France have a lot of goalkeepers like Lloris , Maignan , Areola , Samba , and Lafont
Also good future - Restes, Diouf, Chevalier
Even not NT level GKs from France, are unique because of style. Many of them are short and insane in jumping/reflex saves. A lot of good examples from past - Jeremy Janot, Damien Gregorini, Lionel Letizi, Ulrich Rame, Fabien Cool, Steve Elana, Gennaro Bracigliano, Teddy Richert, etc
Scotlands full backs and cms is mental from robbo and tierney to Patterson and hickey in the cm from Mctominy and mcginn to Ryan jack and McLean
England is also overloaded in RWs. Foden, grealish, rashford, sterling, barnes and smith-rowe, plus players who can play in that position like bowen and mount.
Portugal also has a lot of strikers
Who is striker?
Only average Ramos and old Ronaldo
Make Neuer and Ter Stegen play DM/CB. Germany lack badly in both of these, and both GKs are excellent ball players. That way, even if Ortega or Trapp see red, Neuer and Ter Stegen can cover
Belgium CDM ONANA,MANGALA,LAVIA,TIELEMANS
Germany Center forward: Wirtz, Musiala,Müller, Reus, Brandt, Havertz, Götze
France
Mbappe
Griezman
Kolo munai
Giroud
Benzema
Nkunku
Thuram
In England you forgot about the LW position they have jack Grealish, Marcus rashford, sterling and Phil Foden
Tino Livramento's situation is kinda fucked if you really think about it.
I imagine him looking at his chances at the England National Team and saying: Welp too many right backs here, won't get to play *traces lineage...........Portugal....looks at the Portuguese National Team and the right backs there.....*Shit
England is overloaded in LW too Grealish,Foden,Rushford and more iv forgotten
France with their mid fielders
Griezman, rabit, pogba, kante, camavinga, tchouamanie, fofana, matuidi nd so on....
Choose your England 5 player team -

Portugal has so many midfielders Bernardo Silva, Bruno Fernandes, Vitinha, Otavio, Renato Sanches, Ruben Neves, Mateus Nunes, Joao Mario, Palhinha, Danilo
Germany has far too many attacking midfielders too. The only real CFs we've had on the national team in the past couple of years are Volland and Füllkrug, everyone else (Müller, Brandt, Reus, Havertz, Werner, Gnabry, Sané, Musiala, Wirtz, Moukoko, Hofmann) is just attacking midfield.
Very good, keep it up
Germany are Overloaded with managers, Klopp, Nagelsmann, Tuchel, Hansi Flick, Joachim Löw, Daniel Stendel, Marco Rose
England has lots of left wingers like Phil foden or jack grealish or jaden sanchos
Dutch CB's. De ligt, van dijk, de vrij, botman, ake, van de ven, timber, geertruida, even blind still
Nigerias is like my school
England's should be walker without a doubt he's just tooo goood
Portugal have an overload of No10s,Bruno Fernandes,Bernardo Silva, underated players like Otavio and other players like Felix,Leao, and even players like R.Neves can fill in despite being a defensive midfielder, other players like J.Neves,Pedro Neto and Diogo Jota can also play as No 10s. Please I would love a Man City third kit with either a Doku 11 or Alvarez 19, please
Bruno is the only real true 10 there
real madrid(club) we got camavinga
having a lot in one position aint even a problem if you still have a clear winner but it only is a problem when you have to leave out an starplayer
What about England gk Pope ramsdale pickford
You forgot Bonniface and Lookman for Nigeria
Austria has an overload of CB's but lack of wing backs
I would love to have a Manchester United customized home jersey with Ato K written behind it with the number 7. I love your videos keep up the good work
Poland is also overloaded in goalkeeper position
Spanish goalkeeperes = David de gea, Unai simon, Kepa, Robert Sanchez, David Raya
Italina goalkeepers = Donarumma, Alex meret, Vicario, ivan provedel
