Plug an Earphone, Shoot up the volume & Close your eyes to feel the sound! :)
I had observed these low-frequency sounds produced while they are on DB mode long time back but my camera's mic were dumb to these sounds due to external noise. Guess those sounds were coming mostly from DB Fans or the Engine at that particular RPM. This video has almost captured the sounds and can be realized well if the bass is amplified.
In reality you can feel those vibrations from your body. I mean it. Those vibrations gives you a sense of how much power is sitting inside the Loco, ready to engage!

Happy digital train spotting on UA-cam! ;) - Авто та транспорт
In dynamic braking (DB) mode, the traction motors generate electricity due to downward force from containers (typically on gradient). And the motors are connected to big resistors to convert this force into heat. The engine sound is due to the force applied on the "prime mover" by generated electricity by traction motors. (Same like when our vehicle is at high speed and we reduce accelerator paddle without pressing clutch to control the vehicle)

Wow nice!! Yes, the vibrations really gives us an idea of how much power the beast contains!
