Im a simple man, I see Stephen fry and I watch it, I'm never displeased. I'd love to sit and have a chat with him over some tea or coffee and talk about anything, definitely a life goal for me.
Yes some of it was cheap tat but those of us who remember the PCs and Word Processors know just how insanely popular they were. His first PC clone was way, way cheaper than anything else. I bought one and it got me through my degree in the late 80s. The word processor was an immense seller as it was also CPM compatible.

Amstrad made some cheap consumer crap (I know, I had one of their hi-fis) but they also truly innovated and changed the tech world immeasurably. I love Rossman’s channel, watch it avidly, however, his main beef with Apple Is the apparently deliberate lack of maintainability both in the hardware and protectionism of parts and information (about which I wholeheartedly agree) I don’t recall him complaining about quality. Also, despite this, he DOES, repair Apple products. The hardware of all the modern high end phones, I would argue, are comparable. Just for the avoidance of doubt, I despise Apple’s commercial practices while owning several products 😎
Jesus Lord Sugar is an oaf. You can take the boy out of the working class, but you can’t take working class out of the boy. btw, nothing wrong with being working class, just Sugar almost plays up to it. Almost like he needs to pretend to be that to validate the fact he came from nothing to become a billionaire.

His range of CPC computer's in the 80's were fantastic.
Indeed. These computers have a fantastic, very vibrant color palette for one.
His a nonce ...PEADOPHILE hunters are closeing in on these two...man told me..

Stephen is the only person you can hear say "Your Lordship" and know it's sincere.
I've just recently saved an old Amstrad Telly from being binned. Pretty chuffed with it!
Wait Lord Sugar is running Windows XP on his computer....
A lot of companies did then and still do
in 2012 yeah, still a few years after windows 7 released but he may have been running software that wasn't supported on 7

Man, windows Phone were really shit.
I guess they would've been better if they had based it directly on windows desktop
Fry is an intelligent gentleman and Sugar is a reptile so it was interesting to watch them interact as if they have something in common.
Sugar never was and isn't technical. What he was good at was spotting a market niche and hammering it with cheap stuff that customers bought.
He did bring "hifi" to the masses .
Amstrad cpc 464 brings back memories, got one for my sixth birthday. The amount of hours I played Cobra Stallone on that 🤣🤣🤣🔥

That "podtime" reminds me of the Cheap Hotel in Neuromancer where Case lived in Chiba.
In my day we didn't have the Chinese, we had Amstrad!
I was surprised to hear Stephen answer 'how are you?' with 'very good'.
It's amazing how fast people become outdated

well it dates the episode as widows phone stopped getting updates in 2017
It was a shame it was such a flop because I really loved my Windows phone.

My windows phone was utter shit I had to take the battery out constantly due to crashing...

Apple did fuck up with the iPhone 4. I remember picking up a “bumper” thing for mine for free.
Poor windows phone, a nice attempt but woefully missed the mark. I was a Windows Mobile PDA users, that transition to internet smartphones was rough.
Lord Sugar? Lord Sandwich? Surely there must be a Lord HP Sauce somewhere in Blighty🙃
