Scraping the side of the litter box is them trying to get litter and poop off their feet. Get them some litter pads the help remove the stufc off their feet. Suggest a different litter too.
I have a styrofoam addict. I swear she can smell the stuff. If I have someone come to install something, I have to monitor the unboxing and put any styrofoam in a separate, closed box immediately. And yes, she’s had 3 surgeries to remove foam from her guts 🤦♀️ but I love her dearly and she must be valuable given how much I’ve paid for repairs 😂
