Last time I checked these two nations had nothing to do with democracy. This is a perfect example of the mind of the average south Korean. shameful.
🇮🇳 Mr. Yoon's actions have unfortunately created a situation where the very tools intended for governance have been turned against the peaceful citizens of South Korea. The implementation of martial law was an unnecessary measure, given the inherently peaceful nature of the South Korean populace. In his bid for power, Mr. Yoon employed questionable tactics that ultimately may not yield the desired outcome. It is now up to the judiciary to determine the appropriate course of action, whether to uphold his position or to seek a change in leadership.
The index can say anything it wants, but when it comes to reality n practice, that’s what I see as the indicator. The Netherlands is high on that index too but low and behold, they banned protests.
@Sobly What the ...? i think religious staff shouldn't participate in this kind of political activity. besides, it's very clear that Yoon has become the most unpopular president in S.korea's history. so the best solution for him is to step down otherwise i assume that he will be put behind the bars in the days to come.

The political devide in Korea means the ruling party against the opposition party not Yoon vs the other party, just to correct some of you. Ruling party also does not mean that all members support the current president. The fundamental problem in my country, I think, is the lack of diverse political parties in the National Assembly because of the ignorant people who are blindly(literally) casting votes to either of the two major parties(the current ruling party and the current major opposition party). I am pretty sure that they would not even know the names of the candidates they are voting for. This phenomenon can date back to 7,80s where the political polarization was extreme, especially in two provinces and that still continues until now. People these days don’t vote for their representatives but it seems like they are just voting to prove that what they root for is right like a game. You choose one side and whether or not your side is right, you just play to win. That is exactly what is happening now with those two major parties and their followers. I think democracy can only be achieved with rational people. But what I think we have now in Korea is more like filled with school kids with the right to vote. 😢
Korea's democracy is still running. Since it is not yet complete, must continue to develop it. For a free and democratic country where all people can live better.
You need to understand the truth. Don’t just look at what is visible; consider the context behind the declaration of martial law. Currently, South Korea's Democratic Party is aligned with pro-China and pro-communist forces and has been trying to oust President Yoon Suk-yeol, who advocates for liberal democracy, since the beginning of his term. When Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, faced the risk of imprisonment for his personal crimes, the party began impeaching key figures such as ministers and the head of the Board of Audit and Inspection, making it impossible for the current administration to function properly. This left President Yoon with no choice but to declare martial law. As shown in the footage, most participants in the pro-impeachment protests are young women in their 20s who usually have little interest in politics. They were simply reacting emotionally to the word "martial law" without understanding its implications. On the other hand, participants in the anti-impeachment rallies are predominantly individuals in their 50s and older, who are genuinely concerned about the future of their children’s generation. Which side appears to be acting with more sincerity?

Yoon says that declaring martial law is the president's authority and is a highly political act. But, let's think about it for a moment. The weapon(martial law) that the family gave the father is to be used only when absolutely necessary to protect the family when a robber breaks into the house and threatens the family. But, if the father brandished the knife and pointed the gun at the family even though the robber did not break into the house and the family was comfortable, wouldn't he be crazy? Yoon who doesn't know how dangerous a crime it is was once the Prosecutor General, and is now the president of Korea. How dangerous he is! That's why we must impeach Yoon, and arrest and convict him of sedition and rebellion.
This is the golden opportunity for all Koreans in the North and South come to their sense as Koreans and start shaping the Korean people issues by themselves without any foreign involvement. S. Korea needs to be free from occupation. All foreign solders must leave S, Korea.
Yoon's declaration of martial law was to prepare the population for the announcement of planet Nibiru which will literally devastate the Korean peninsula beyond recognition in the near future. Earthquakes and tidal waves will be the new norm for the people of Korea.
