Back in the 1980s when I was in the Army, I would order: A triple Whopper with cheese and baconz, large fries, large onion rings, large Coke. I ate it all, but I would be full all day, so I'd get that large order when I knew I wouldn't be eating for a while. Nowadays, I can manage a single Whopper, no baconz or cheese, and a small diet Coke. The flame broiled taste of a Whopper always reminds me of summer and cooking outside on a grill, so in the heart of a cold, snowy, icey winter, a Whopper is, to me, like a taste of hope, a taste of better days past and future, the taste of a warm, sunshiny day. I love seeing your videos of food that, to me, is familiar and unfamiliar in lands I have never visited. To the people of those places, the flavors of their food must bring back fond memories, as well. I love trying those foods, sometimes developing a serious fondness for them. Like Vegemite and Marmite, for one example. I had Vegemite first, and it is my favorite of the two. I would dream about it and wake up craving it. Same with a Hawaiian food called poi. It's made from taro root and is like a purplish gray paste that starts with a tartness and ends with the most wonderful starchiness, like the finest source of pure carbohydrates I ever tasted. On my first taste of it, I fell in love with it. Like Vegemite with its salty yeasty B vitamin flavors, or pickled herring (also pickled pigs feet) with its vinegary tanginess and tender meatiness, or cherimoya fruit with its sweet, creamy, deliciousness, and so on. It's good to try new things because it's the only way to be amazed by something you hadn't known about. And it brings distant places closer, in a way. Thanks for all of your videos! They are always relaxing and educational. I know from having video cameras, mixers, editors and recorders years ago that what you do is not easy. It requires technique and skill, and each eight and a half minutes we see involves many hours of work. This is one of my favorite channels of all time. There are always plenty of new, old, or different foods to try, so each new video is a surprise. Be good to yourselves.
Burger King is underrated imo, especially in Canada. They upped the ante with their fries so they're almost as good as the ones sold at the Golden Arches. However, the staff at BK near me have never gotten my order correct, not even once, then they get angry with me for having to fix my order; I've learned to keep my receipt from them. I'm left wanting the special items that are sold in Thailand, especially the sweet potato pie. 🥰 Our menu is hohum.
