WTF, that's the kind of music that plays in a jrpg when the heroes are all preparing to assault Castle Bad Guy for the final battle, is all of Trauma Center's music that good?
@@trevorweisberg8470 I mean, the context isn't that far off. One of the main composers for this series is Shoji Meguro of Persona fame. Trauma Center in a nutshell is like a hospital anime. Johnny should've had one more point. He got Nier Automota, but not the location. However his points didn't go up. So Johnny should've won before the trivia question.
While I was rooting for Ant, I'm still happy for Johnny winning. But concerning this, since Johnny won anyways despite incorrect counting, we got to see the video run a little longer. He won fair and square plus showing off a little more. So all's well that ends well. Also, I noticed Ant didn't get a point for '2001' at the end of the video, so it evens out.
Actually no, since Antdude guessed the Puyo Puyo track right. That track actually makes an appearance on Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine on the ending as a remix, so he was also robbed a point.
I'm surprised that the evil laughter that naturally left my mouth as Ant thought Puyo Puyo was Mean Bean Machine didn't disturb my neighbors. For the record, the Puyo Puyo stage 1 theme does appear in the credits for Mean Bean, but it's so heavily mixed for some reason that I don't still don't think the point is warranted.
Another version of the theme that's even more faithful to the original Puyo Puyo theme was actually made for Mean Bean Machine, but when unused. The only difference I can tell between the two is the percussion.
@@Torts00 Correct! There is an unused remix! There's another arrangement that plays during the curtain call of the game, the cutscene that shows all the characters' names. It's pretty different until around the second half of the song.

Fun fact: the Theme of Puyo Puyo is actually present in Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine in two forms. The first is used at the ending, which changed some of the original's melody for some reason but it's pretty similar to the original song to a point it's difficult to not add the removed bits into your head or when humming it. The other is the original song completely unused, likely leftover data from when they changed it from Puyo Puyo. So, technically, AntDude was right with the game, but I wouldn't have counted it either for the factors that one isn't one you can listen to normally and the other is too different to be the same exact song.
I feel that in many of the older What's That Track videos, one person is usually significantly ahead of the other, but this one felt very evenly matched. Great choice for creators to match against each other!
It seems like for those questions they only give points to the one that got both parts, in case the other one only got one. I think they also handled it that way in the first episode.
just my 2 cents regarding the Mean Bean Machine answer the answer is indeed Puyo Puyo, more specifically the track is called " Theme of Puyo Puyo". Puyo Puyo was originally an arcade game that was later ported to the Mega Drive in Japan and was later brought over to North America and Europe with a new coat of paint. Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine was not just a simple reskin as the music in this version is also completely different. The vast majority of the music was replaced with original tunes with exceptions of a few arranged ones from Puyo Puyo. Heck even the unused Theme of Puyo Puyo in Mean Bean Machine sounds different compared to what you hear in Puyo Puyo.
I like the idea of having Pateron members submitting songs for this. Could get some cool tracks that way. I only got the Crash and Celeste songs. I would do horrible on this.

Big Brain Academy was both on DS and Wii (and more recently, Switch)
These are always a highlight, so fun to play alongside them even if I'm *really bad* at identifying songs from RPGs!
... Managed 15 points though. Admittedly 3 of those were from the trivia at the end but eh, still fun!
It is so nice to see these 3 guys together
13:57 not me singing Never gonna give you up because it's similar and in the same key (or close to it)
FOR SOME REASON I KNEW OF 13 SENTINELS EVEN THO I NEVER PLAYED IT, ik it was the hint but whatever I feel good
That last track I died within the first thwang🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"Welcome to episode two of What's That Track" ...there's been..like..3 or 4 others..
Can't believe they got Nitro Rad on the show twice in a row
On second thought, I'm seeing a lot of comments saying that Ant was right about Mean Bean Machine. So maybe they did need a tiebreaker after all.
If the Kirby song being in 64 vs Dreamland 3 doesn't count, then saying Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine instead of Puyo Puyo should also doesn't count. Gotta be consistent.
It's very unfortunate that I can know the song Nocturne by that first note alone 😅
Another great What's the Track, great job guys!
I feel like if there's ever a tie like this one the question should relate more to gaming music and not general gaming knowledge. Asking about a release date in a gaming music knowledge competition is just too out of left field to be a closer for the competition imo.
this video had me on the edge of my seat because i would have blown a gasket if ant had gotten a point for mean bean machine
I just realized that the apostrophe in the title of this show is a bass cleft. Nice.
The start of track fifteen made me think you were rickrolling, it sounded like never gonna give you up
I'm only in the middle of the video, and this is already a great episode
You guys should throw in jingles too. Like the Pokémon Center healing sound. Stuff like that. Make it a bonus round and give them half a point because that are just jingles.
