Nice guys until you ask them to honor a trailer warranty for trailers purchased through them. Something that would have cost them $100 in warranty support, resulted in a loss of several new trailer sales. Escalated to the parts and service manager, and was literally ready to buy an additional trailer with Uriah that day. And they don’t care. I was disappointed in this lack of customer service :( It’s extremely rare I give a bad review, but when top management of an establishment isn’t willing to honor a warranty, even more so when you have a customer with a check book out to purchase another trailer that same day…that says something. I hope that things change down the road, and there’s an opportunity to ‘shop local’ again. Tri Cities has some good alternatives that stand behind their warranty w/o dickering. I wanted to stay local….
We believe this post was in response to the thanks Don Johnson Sales, Inc., received for work done to fix damages French Town property incurred. We investigated Steve Mantle’s concerns. Our files showed that he bought a trailer in February 2021 and came back April 2022 needing repairs to the equalizers which are part of the axles. Just like brakes, equalizers are not warranty items. Therefore, regardless of our desire to help, it would not make good business sense to provide free services to some customers, which would result in raising prices for the rest. Remember, the warranties are from the manufacturers, not from us. We have great prices on trailers and our service manager does an amazing job at fighting for warranty coverage. In this instance, since it was not a warranty item, there was just not anything we could do besides repair it at a fair price. It may be helpful to know that equalizers usually last a long time with normal usage, and in Steve's case, it was indicated that the trailer was used much more extensively. Also, it is advisable for all trailer and RV owners to do bearing repacks once a year or at 12,000 miles. As always, we appreciate any feedback on our service, as it helps us to improve what we strive to offer at all times - the finest quality, care and customer service possible.
