    Coaching is so situational but the great thing about Mew is that because it can change its moves so often it can make a situational move useable. I remember using coaching to teleport to an ally and then use surf to push those chasing him away, waited for them to be distracted attacking me for my ally to get away and then use the unite move to recall. Coaching was ever only useful to me in that situation but Mew can just make what could be a useless move very useful.

    • @AbhishekKumar-jl9me
      @AbhishekKumar-jl9me Рік тому +1

      You can use surf + light screen to save your ally and after that use eject which will help you to don't loose your unite because unite is most important for a team fight and you are just wasting your unite

    • @Hasan-vp6xe
      @Hasan-vp6xe Рік тому +4

      Yeah, besides doesnt Coaching give your ally a temporary shield from taking damage?

    • @aaronyeager6778
      @aaronyeager6778 Рік тому

      A bit situational but I wouldn’t say that’s it’s only use. After messing around with the move for a bit I found you can use it offensively as well especially in team fights. You can bounce around the field making you harder to hit & make your team more effective in team fights. It also reduced your cooldown so you can get more special attacks in & use Mew passive ability more. More DMG actually an effective move if used right.

    I am no pro nor am I as good as Cris, but if I may suggest something: for those on mobile who are struggling to swap moves quickly I would strongly suggest using 3 fingers to play (thumb on left, thumb + index on right) as I found using my index made it easier to swap faster instead of making my right thumb do all the work

    • @ethanhodges4283
      @ethanhodges4283 Рік тому +7

      I've also found on mobile that most of the times I need to switch quickly is when I need to switch to surf to get away. In that instance, you can pick surf quickly, use surf to push into or run from enemies, then pick agility while surfing to run away.

    Nice guide. I’ve been playing Mew for a while so I was already aware of most of these, but it will be a big help to many players and I can still definitely use a reminder. My two main comments are that 1: coaching is a pretty underrated move by many solo Mew players. While it’s situational it can arguably be one of the strongest moves in your entire kit if used properly. And 2: Exp share is actually being investigated in competitive as a potential third Mew item. Since you have phenomenal early last hitting you can help out a more late-game oriented ally by giving them more experience, and the passive slow experience gain, at least in coordinated play, can be very helpful for Mew that has a bit of a slower farming speed and likes to be active in fights rather than farming often. Not saying that it’s definitely the go-to item, especially in solo Q, just something to consider

    Something I’ve been practicing lately is choosing which opponent I send the boosted auto towards. There’s a setting that lets you auto attack whoever you want that’s in range, and it’s really useful to choose the send the boosted towards the half health pikachu instead of the defender that’s beside it. I play on mobile and the button for this is small though so I’m not quite as good at it as I’d like.

    • @nicolasbanegas7879
      @nicolasbanegas7879 9 місяців тому +2

      are you talking about the icon thing? I'm on mobile too and I don't know how to aim the autoattacks at all. I only use it for lock-on abilities

    • @EllissDee4you4me
      @EllissDee4you4me 9 місяців тому +1

      @@nicolasbanegas7879 yep, there’s a tee tiny icon that pops up next to the basic attack ‘button’ and this is what I’m referring to. Members of the other team that are in range appear as an icon with their health bar. Pressing one of these instead of the regular basic attack will send your boosted towards whoever you manually chose instead of defaulting to lowest %hp or whatever your settings are. It’s tricky and easy to forget, but it keeps you from mindlessly sending that big chunk of damage into their slowbro.
      You can also “aim” your boosted kinda. It follows a straight line between you and your target but changing your position will change this path, allowing you make it go around any tanks that try to body block it. When I grab a low health back line squishy with the boosted, I always pan the camera to make sure my position will make the damage contact. Mew is nuts and has a thousand little micro skills like this that you’re constantly doing to get the most out of every situation.

I could be hard winning the game getting 2 to 3 kills a fight and scoring 20+ points and farming between fights but I'll still barely reach level 12 before rayquaza. I could last hit all 4 altaria in lane yet the enemy urshifu hits level 5 before I do without scoring or anything.
