It is a dorky rebellious teen comedy, but it’s also a 1980’s PG-13 film, which means a lotta cussing (nowadays, you can barely say “sh*t”, which is said a lot in the film, in a PG-13 movie, you’d probably get about 1 or 2 instances) and adult humor. But it’d be even more crazy if Planes Trains and Automobiles, which has the same director as Ferris Bueller did air on Nick, since that movie is only rated R for an scene where one of the main characters goes on a rant and says the F-word multiple times in said rant. Otherwise, that film would be PG-13 had that scene been removed.
Happy 18th birthday! I turned 14 a week before this was recorded and had just started 9th grade! Lol crazy to think that someone that was born when I was 14 is now an adult! How time flies!
I’m betting the version of Ferris Bueller that Nick aired was the one that had all swear words either muted, cut out, or dubbed over with less offensive alternatives, as well as cutting short the scene of the singing nurse and cutting out the part where Mr. Rooney gives the delivery guy the finger after honking his horn to “Shave and a Haircut”.
