Interesting he's willing to apologize to Kai but not Nicki when it was NICKI he used as a example. If I'm not mistaken wasn't Offset doing sleepovers on Kai Cenat stream during his album roll out? So where was the outrage then, mind you he already has 2 full hour long interviews with Nicki. I notice a pattern of these old hip hop platforms having this weird energy towards Nicki and also Drake whenever they don't do what it is they want them to do. Then they wonder why they chose to go on other platforms or not talk at all?
It's wild because Nicki was so amazing on Kai's stream. It was much better than most interviews. I don't understand how anyone can criticize her or Kai. She was fun and made everybody happy.

Former pro athletes actually do a great job on their podcasts asking interesting questions and being “journalistic” in a new way. Kai cenats platform is cool for the kids, but it’s all about balance like Elliot said. There should be a platform like Gil’s arena or podcast p for hip hop

I am a fan of a more traditional approach to Hip Hop journalism. I miss interviews where an artist received more pushback. I’ve accepted that I’m not apart of Kai’s target audience, but I just don’t like where media is going. It’s all one big circle jerk now.

- It’s not a NEW critique, people have been making this critique way before Bobbi Althoff or Kai. When guys would only go to Zane Lowe, for an, “interview.”
- Platforms like Rap Radar, Drink Champs have a right to criticize artists for actively avoiding media from within the artform (ie, media they can’t control). And, truthfully, as a fan of an artist… this era of the, “purposefully awkward interview” or the “non-interview interview” is super TRASH. Kai is fun, but, all the others?? 🚮🚮🚮
- Schools give people credit with years of real world experience an honorary degree, or allow them to skip examination. 20, 30 years of print journalism at a high level counts for more than even a Masters degree in journalism.
