I came here because I was curious how a run of a game that I thought I played would turn out. Then they mentioned the game that I did play. So now ill be back after watching the run of the game I did play. Amazing what can be accomplished in less than a minute.
I like how Sacred Cards skips the Noah Arc entirely, and just finishes off Battle City. I always felt that the Noah arc should have been after Battle City, between it and Waking the Dragons.
Oof, yeah, Reshef is a bit of a mess. I actually got Sacred Cards and Reshef on a single cartridge for my birthday, years ago, but Reshef didn't work for some reason (no deck, so I auto-lost every duel). I ended up playing it on emulator since, hey, I own the game, why the heck not, and was fortunate enough to stumble upon a patch called "Reshef is actually tolerable now" that fixed some of the problems and made the game, well, tolerable.
Reshef was a struggle for sure. When i was younger i actually took the time to beat it without a gameshark or card codes or anything. Took about a month of on off grinding yugi and joey to get my deck capacity up to where i could actually progress to the reshef fight. Finally beat it when i was able to draw phoenix mode ra on first turn. Leaen from my mistakes. Dont play reshef without a gameshark
I know I'm super late, but thank you for the tip mdudegamer. I just finished The Sacred Cards and heard nothing but bad things about Reshef of Destruction. Applied that patch and the game plays just like TSC.
i actually have a lot of nostalgia for reshef. i absolutely love it. just spend leisurely time g r i n d i n g XD i'm definitely gonna check out this patch! how exciting!
i got a speed tip for you@Mergy 24:25 skip those attacks to face and end turn, you kill that he plays and end him the following turn either way. shave a few seconds from a few different fights i saw. good run dude

That's because the game is based on the manga, where the Noah Arc just didn't happen. (Just like Waking the Dragons and the Kaibaland tournament.)

More or less,ive played both reshef and sacred.
If you want easy, go with Sacred
You want hard,go with reshef
Reshef was pretty decent in terms of difficulty it's not mind numbingly hard

I liked the look of the overworld and how you could walk around in this. Unfortunately the weird madeup rules of the card games ruined it for me. :/
