My mom is sick every day. She has Crohn’s disease and she acts like this a lot. I totally understand why she does. She hurts and feels like shit all the time, but she still is an amazing mom.
Your mummy is living a never ending nightmare of constant pain and exhaustion, I also have Crohns disease among other things and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I'm also aware of how it affects my children and I feel guilty everytime I miss doing things with them. The kicker - my husband ordered out every night. I still don’t know how or what the dishes (pots and pans) were used for. I had more laundry to do from those 3 days then I had from a normal week. Still don’t know where it all came from. Husband and son (yep 1 kid) will not tell me what happened those 3 days.

My husband is not like that. The man fractured 2 ribs and stupidly went to work. He can have a 102.0 and he gets up and does what he needs to. But if I’m sick he makes me stay in bed takes over the kids he beings me in my dinner. He even cuts it up. That man after 30 years still brings me coffee every morning. Still surprises me with gifts. Still leaves me lol notes. When I was in the hospital he would not leave n he took over for the nurses. He slept in a hard chair for day’s n never complained. We’ve been together since were in 9th grade. I’m a lucky bitch lol he still adores me like he did then.

I don't know about all mothers. A lot of them drag their husbands through divorce court and then use the child support on themselves instead of the child. A lot of mothers see their kids as paychecks. A lot of mothers just have their kids do all the chores, laundry and then for dinner they give them some toast and butter. Even for the good mothers, 24 hours? Not a chance. If the family is even remotely functional, the dad will have a pretty hefty stake in that as well even if he is the primary money maker.
OMG this is our house, when I got sick they treated me like it was normal days to me 😢 .but when a man was sick I took care of him like he is a new born baby to me ..after recovery he forgot everything .. respect to all mothers always especially in their weak times they also need to be taken care of!
For me both my parents are treated like royalty when sick 😷 we take over chores and prepare food and medicine for them. They care for us when we are sick and we don't mind doing the same.

And I've only seen unbridled fear a solitary time, when I brought home my pet rat, Larry, that I kept at college. When Larry got close to him, Dad told me to get Larry away from him, that, "...They were crawling all over us (as they crossed some river on foot)!" Even more salient to me than his fear, was that the fear was so profound, it made him blurt out that truth, as he NEVER talks about his experiences over there. (Even that phone call was explained to me later by my mom, and the ambush and malaria survival stories were randomly shared w/ me only while he was extremely high on painkillers immed following a surgery.) He has a lot of hidden pain, trauma, and shame from that time on his life. Your words let me know he hadn't suffered unappreciated. Thank you. ❤

In the beginning of my mom years, I was guilty of this. I remember driving my kids to school while throwing up in a bag. I finally came to my senses and vowed never to do that again. When your sick, you need rest. Kids do this because moms are too afraid to ask for help. There is nothing wrong with looking at your teenage child and telling them "your mother is sick. Do your own laundry.... grown ass child." LOL

Parents both have a equal influence on their children it just differs on how they go about it, And guys grow up in a world where they're not meant to be sentimental or show any sort of emotion, that's why the mothers tend to be the favorite. Mothers teach their kids to be good people overall, fathers teach them how to be strong and independent since they tend to have to deal with everything themselves when they grew up. And no matter how you look at it being nice and well mannered will only get you so far. So shout out to all the dad's that are there for their kids, unlike my father who was an abusive drunk that we ended up running away from, you're doing one hell of a job
I also believe the bad traits such as greed are important in someones life, if you only ever do things for others at your own expense you'll never find yourself happy
I don't know about all mothers. A lot of them drag their husbands through divorce court and then use the child support on themselves instead of the child. A lot of mothers see their kids as paychecks.
A lot of mothers just have their kids do all the chores, laundry and then for dinner they give them some toast and butter.
Even for the good mothers, 24 hours? Not a chance. If the family is even remotely functional, the dad will have a pretty hefty stake in that as well even if he is the primary money maker.
OMG this is our house, when I got sick they treated me like it was normal days to me 😢 .but when a man was sick I took care of him like he is a new born baby to me ..after recovery he forgot everything .. respect to all mothers always especially in their weak times they also need to be taken care of!

And I've only seen unbridled fear a solitary time, when I brought home my pet rat, Larry, that I kept at college. When Larry got close to him, Dad told me to get Larry away from him, that, "...They were crawling all over us (as they crossed some river on foot)!"
Even more salient to me than his fear, was that the fear was so profound, it made him blurt out that truth, as he NEVER talks about his experiences over
there. (Even that phone call was explained to me later by my mom, and the ambush and malaria survival stories were randomly shared w/ me only while he was extremely high on painkillers immed following a surgery.)
He has a lot of hidden pain, trauma, and shame from that time on his life. Your words let me know he hadn't suffered unappreciated. Thank you. ❤

In the beginning of my mom years, I was guilty of this. I remember driving my kids to school while throwing up in a bag. I finally came to my senses and vowed never to do that again. When your sick, you need rest. Kids do this because moms are too afraid to ask for help. There is nothing wrong with looking at your teenage child and telling them "your mother is sick. Do your own laundry.... grown ass child." LOL
Facts!! My teenagers understand that mama needs her rest! They go above and beyond to be so gentle and caring when I’m at my lowest.
