  • STEVTENSIONER®
    Enabling installations
    The proof loading of a permanent mooring system for CALM buoys and FPSOs is critical for a system’s certification. The proof loads are typically 80-100% of the design load so that substantial bollard pull capacity is required. The use of the STEVTENSIONER® for subsea tensioning offers significant cost benefits as it reduces the required load by typically 60%. As a result mooring installations can be performed from modest anchor handlers or crane barges.

      @@Hayden____ I did think this comment up by myself, maybe except for the "You didn't search for this video" part. It is a *very simple comment* just stating the obvious, and people like to be reassured of the obvious. I got this video in my reccomendations because of the UA-cam algorythm, I know this video will be reccomended to a lot of other people so I left this comment. What intrigues me is why you think it is stolen, so, why *do* you think it is a comment taken from another video?

    • @Jmoneysmoothboy
      @Jmoneysmoothboy 3 роки тому +3

      It doesn't necessarily increase the strength of the anchorage. The term "proof-load" that was used in the video means to test and see how anchored the anchor really is. It is sort of like if you build a floor then walk on it to test the strength of the floor you are "loading" that floor with your weight to "prove" that it is a good solid floor. The anchor in the video needs to be able to hold a certain amount of weight so they "proof-load" the anchor with that weight and if it holds tight you're in like Flynn. The benefit of this device is that you can anchor and then proof load all in one operation.

    • @Misha-dr9rh
      @Misha-dr9rh 3 роки тому

      Close. You're forgetting the lack of reverse bungle load on the sprangle end of the collimator which is one of the main benefits of this design.
