Howard Behrens was one of the most decent men I have had the priviledge to know. I modeled for him in the late 70's. I was so poor at the time he brought me a chair and a table from his parent's home so that I had something to sit on and study at. He gave me a surprise gift of a portrait of me that I cherish to this day. Oh, yeah he also gave me a painting he did at about 18 yrs of age of Venice. What an incredible difference to the art he was starting with the palette knife. I had run out of money when planning my wedding and he so graciously photographed my wedding for me at no charge. Howard, I know you're up there in heaven, mezmerized by the purity of color...... please say hello to Rupee for me. I loved our excursions looking for places for you to take pictures to paint. I have one of his prints, though it's not a signed limited edition. Probably not worth much, but it's such a work of talent. I would have loved to have owned the original.
