We had a bunny in the classroom but no one was allowed to pick him up. The trauma caused by the accidental squishing of the baby chick was something the teacher didn’t want to repeat. One of the kids wanted to hold the chick but the kid who had the chick in his hand squeezed the chick in an attempt to keep it.
