Think we need to hit the ground running. This will only come about if we get the recruitment right. The window opens in a few days, and I would expect we get about our business swiftly. If this is not the case, it would show that, yet again, we have been failing to fully address our recruitment problems.
For me we can’t afford to go through a transitional season as much as it prob will end up that way . The players we bring in have to be starters cos the 1s there the now ain’t performing for long enough now .
If David Gray never scored That Goal there's a chance he'd never be a coach and never be our first team coach it probably would've gone to Darren McGregor instead But you could argue a bigger hero that day was Anthony Stokes Again happy Gray has the job. It's just convenient to appoint him when he's in the door already and a cheap option compared to wasting money on five years worth of duds
What I hate about hibs over the last 4 or 5 years is the players downing tools when they stop listening to the manager/first team coach. It's almost as if the players are bigger than the first team coach. They got the last 4 or 5 incumbents sacked by downing tools. I remember seeing an interview somewhere where Lewis Stevenson was talking about all his previous managers and which ones had good training drills and which didn't.
Hopefully the extra cash in the club can give dg a head start and get the wheels turning but it's going to be a club exercise to rebuild. The one caveat is the league cup games come around quickly and we might not have done much business. Can only judge Gray once we're through the first cycle of fixtures with hopefully a better squad.
It doesn’t take much for John to loose his chain of thought, every episode 😂
Is there a live phone in this week? Great episode as I eat my tea
Thursday!

If David is grumpy, that's fine with me. Eddie Turnbull was too.
