I'm used to travel using this KTM Intercity ERT Sleeper Coach and Premier Coach from Johor Bahru to/from Pasir Mas. The max speed is 80kmh since it is a diesel locomotive and still runs on a single track. Wish our government could upgrade to double track electrified from Gemas to Tumpat, so the new electric locomotive can replace the aging diesel locomotive.

Impossible since the terrain is too mountainous for any double tracking projects. The ecosystem of the Dabong Reserve Forest and the dozens of reserve forests in Pahang would be severely affected if the Gemas Tumpat double tracking project is realized.

Nicely presented video. The last time I took this train was the ‘70s. It was called the Golden Blowpipe, Sumpitan Emas. Good memories.
