In this demo I am testing out DecoArt Satin Enamel as a cell making additive. I am treating this like any straight pour. I have added no more than 25% Satin enamel to each color except the darkest purple. 1paint:2Floetrol thinned to proper consistency with 90%Water:10%Floetrol and a small amount of Liquitex Pouring Medium added to each color. 18x24 canvas. Liquitex Basics Dioxazine Purple, Pthalo Blue, Pthalo green, Cadmium Yellow Deep Hue, Cadmium Yellow Light Hue, Cadmium Red Medium Hue and Cadmium Red Deep Hue

I still think it’s pretty. I like the way the bright colors pop out of the deeper colors.
It is so refreshing to hear an artist acknowledge the mud. These older tutorials have been helpful in my quest to understand colors, theory, and acrylics in general. Gotta keep the brain active, and there is a lot more to colors and pouring than people realize. Thanks, Gina!

I like it. Your eye is pulled to the center with the bright colors, so, to me, it doesn't matter that the outer parts are darker and duller. I wish my fails would look so good!.
