I can literally feel the hairs on the back of my neck every time I listen to this masterpiece. Breathtaking to say the least, Bach was a genius and his work never gets old…..Karl Richter was put on earth to get the best of his work and what a job he did! Outstanding
Oscuridad? Luz absoluta, el Universo estaba atónito, los montes, las cumbres, los mares, las bestias, todo en silencio ante el prodigio que solo puede narrar el Cielo
Some of the most brilliant music ever written. One feels what the heaviness of flesh would be like for God to take on for the first time. And then slipping into death before the triumphant resurrection. Simply stunning! I nearly fainted the first time I heard it.
I really enjoy and appreciate reading your comment. The music truly does evoke a sense of awe and wonder, as if one is witnessing the divine merging with the human. It's so beautiful that it's painful to listen to.
Mai nessuno ha esaltato l'arte della musica come quest'uomo. L'ha emancipata, le ha dato una vita propria e l'ha portata fino a vette di bellezza non più raggiunte
Personally, words genuinely can not possibly surmise the enormity of all that this is and does - particularly crucifixus. Even this seems too much and too little at the same time, but I'm compelled to share nonetheless.

May Karl rest in peace.
This is the best version of this unfathomably sublime piece I've ever heard. I feel transported out of this world by these heavenly voices.
وفقك الله وسدد خطاك 🦅🌹
¿de que mundo es esta música? Dios mío ! que magistral!
Masterpiece
Et incarnatus est was one of the absolute last things Bach penned fresh on paper, explains its unfathomable darkness.

3:49 Crucifixus (Chorus)
