It's the tango in its real sense-raw, naked battle between a man and a woman.Smekalov has this great talent to create, dance and act. And Genia! She is one of a few Russian ballerinas who can handle power driven contemporary ballet choreography. When she just shakes her hands before her or stands on the chair, I'm mesmerized.
As always, Evgenia goes past technique, and above tricks, to bring incredible character to each role she portrays. I'd be surprised to find a role she can't totally connect to. She takes acting beyond the face and into her whole movement. She is, like no one else, a great ballerina. And the best of our time.
If the camera stayed focused on the dancers for longer than 1 second before switching to another shot this would have been an invaluable recording of a fantastic performance.
Olga Rykov I completely agree. I can’t stand to watch tv competitions like this bc there are so many shots. It’s like they think we’ll get bored if there’s only one or two shots! I get bored if the dancing is bad and this dancing is not bad!
Anche attorialita' e grande capacita' di personalizzazione delle movenze del ballo facendo rientrare anche un aspetto psicologico narrativo. Estremamente convincenti. BIGHIN GIULIO RENZO
