This is true, I have been Muslim 23 years and my brother took Shahada 4 months ago.

I accepted Islam 8 years ago and face so much hostility. This was inspiring, I just pray that Allah softens the hearts of my family members and guides them. I fear that if they are not guided that it is my fault.
This man is a wise one. He converted when he was 19. Like just imagine an average american 19 year old guy not starting to learn about religion but converting. So he probably started his journey towards islam when he was a teenager. Subhanallah. May Allah bless him, his work at Al Maqasid is amazing!

I know exactly how you feel. I am from a catholic family. And it is so hard to get my mother to listen even to gentle conversations about Islam. I have had one where I compared the two religions view of Isa pbuh. And finally she was very into learning our beliefs. Alhumdulillah it was a great talk. But, living in the west, it can be hard. So much propaganda about Islam and Muslims here.
May Allah continue to bless Shaykh Yahya, give him a good seal, and accept his good works.
