I met someone on vacation. I needed scissors and I didn’t have any, the bus for the wedding would arrive in 30 minutes so I was screwed. I ran out of my hotel room in hopes of finding a worker that could help me. I found him, he was also running late trying to get to his room to change. I said the exact following words, “stop, do you have some scissors?!” He looked back not even surprised or annoyed. He didn’t have any though. A few days later me and my cousins were sitting by the pool, he mysteriously passed by and I said drunken, “hey you’re the scissors man”. He sat down and conversed with us. He was so confident and nonchalant. He knew so much. I’m not the type to fall quickly, I’m rather complicated when it comes to attraction. Understand that he seemed so impossible, the entire time we spoke logically never emotionally or personally. I became interested. We switched over to sitting by the shore of the ocean, by this time I felt like he was feeling something that I too felt. We couldn’t admit it for many reasons one being that he lived there and I was just visiting. After tequila he whispered in my ear, “you’ll never forget me” and I kept whispering to him, “the chemistry” He replied confirming, “Chemistry.” That night I cried and screamed because I had never liked someone so much but I was leaving the following morning so we didn’t kiss even though we had the opportunity. For many reasons we couldn’t. The next morning I saw him talking with my cousins and I didn’t say a word to him when I joined the circle, I couldn’t tell if our conversation was a unique thing to him or if he was used to seducing women. Again he seemed so impossible. When we all made a stop at a gas station, he said bye to my cousins and siblings but just stared at me for a couple seconds then turned around. We never spoke about what happened. I never got to see him again in person. We did exchange numbers though and spoke for months, we fell in love. In the end I broke it off because of the distance and a few other things that we couldn’t change. We says when I feel safe in my skin, we will meet again.
