Elliðavatn - Urriðapadda

Ótrúlega einföld fluga sem verður alltaf að vera í boxinu þegar haldið skal í Elliðavatn. Hefur einnig gefið fína veiði í Vífilstaðavatn. Hér er hún hnýtt í stærð 12 sem er flott í byrjun tímabils en hana má hnýta í minni stærðum þegar líða tekur á sumarið.

Where do you get the flexi floss ?

I think I ordered the flexi floss online, it’s available from pretty much every online retailer. I mostly use Taimen or Bogdan Gawlik. If you’re in Iceland and can’t find black flexi floss you could buy the darkest colour you can find and simply use a black permanent marker to colour it. If you do that, I’d recommend putting a thin layer of varnish on the fly when you’re done tying it, to lock in the colour.

@@eisiplant thank you for the reply im going to try this one in lake Ellidavatn as i can only seem to get the odd fish on buzzers and an indicator with my son( we are both new to fly fishing) so any information as to how to go about the lake would be greatly appreciated.
