The fact that a writer turned Nagito/Sans into a completely legit relationship with major development for both sides may be humanity's greatest achievement.
I think what makes Chapter 5 sad is that Brian didn’t intend to kill Fluttershy, but rather himself. If Fluttershy was too late to stop Brian, she’d still be alive! It’s crazy how like canon danganronpa, it raised a huge “what if” scenario.
I love in the final "execution" how the executions was Given to the five survivors. It's not just coincidence why they were given those executions. These executions were chosen to them as to what role the characters had in those cases. In case 1 it was luigi's brother mario who killed the victim. In case 2 conductor became the main suspect because of his rivalry to king dedede. In case 3 like conductor, yandere chan became the main suspect because of her secret. In case 4 nagito helped sans in his sceam and wanted to save him by taking the blame. And In case 5 parappa had a close releatsion to the culprit and even tried to save him. That's a Detail i love.

If you read the ao3 book of the fanganronpa, you can click on 'IT'S PUNISHMENT TIME' thing when it appears, and then it leads you to the execution. And for the body discoveries, you also have to go to the ao3 as well, and click on the 'the body of ' and then it leads you to the videos.

I noticed those two cases have actually a lot in common with each other: 1) A sad case with a murder planned and executed by two people. It's up to interpretation whether they're in love. 2) One of the culprits was willing to sacrifice their life for the other to survive because of their messed up image of themselves. 3) The party not chosen as the "true" culprit interferes with the other's execution and gets injured. They end up surviving the rest of the killing game, though. Also, even the execution music is the same. 4) The person not chosen as the culprit also does the Argument Armament/PTA for the true culprit. 5) The motive is related to a sibling of one of the culprits. 6) The murder weapon is a baseball bat. In any case I love both of them 😅
I still cry over Brian’s death man, people forget that he is genuinely intelligent because of how pretentious he can be. I really thought ayano would be framed for Fluttershy’s death but I was equal parts impressed and sad to find out that Brian was in fact responsible for her death. It’s just like him to want to take his life but to also not want to give the MM satisfaction of claiming him as a victim of their game, then going off and setting up a convoluted murder mystery plot on his own to accomplish that. Yes, Monokuma’s inability to select a culprit would give the survivors a chance of escape, but his primary motives were self-serving: to die in peace and to personally spite the captor. I thought he’d survive but I can’t complain about his final fate either.
And to think that if Monokuma hadn’t started attempting to execute survivors at random, he would’ve beat the trial; which brings him closer than Momota ever was in V3.
4:25 Serious missed opportunity with the corpse's pose there. It could have been that one overused pose that characters from that show always land in when they fall, get injured, die, etc.

Not gonna lie, Ashley seems a little too obvious as a killer. Between her gothic demeanour and twintails, she's a bit too close to Celestia to be that surprising a culprit. I think she'd have fit more as a victim or survivor.
