Thanks for the tour of your apartment. I grew up in San Jose and I moved to Galveston, Texas in 2010. San Jose has changed so much and it's so expensive now. I'm glad that my commute is three minutes and I don't have a house payment. I do miss it though! I love your apartment and the way you've decorated it. It's very chic, very functional and you've made it look so comfortable and welcoming. It's bringing back memories with all of the layout, hardware and I guess, just the California feel. My house was built in 1920 so thanks for inviting us in to see your new home.
Thank you. Really stylish and functional condo!! You mentioned in the video about your bed headboard, I like it ( another option, you can put a nice large throw over it). All the best!
Thanks so much and Happy New Year to you too, Carla! I think by having a neat and tidy home can help take care of your mental health and reduce your stress levels. ☺
Pretty decent for $2.5k/mo, depends on exact location I guess. What’s the square footage? I used to live in San Carlos (condos in the hills) with 3br/2ba with 1.1k sqft for $3.5k/mo for like 6yrs. Came with 1 spot, included water too (paid electric/gas). Not too bad, but was a fair bit outdated and no AC. Amazing views of the valley/mountains behind SC, though. Easy access to I-280. Not possible to get an apartment like that for what I paid there now, though. Moved to PDX for 3x the space (building equity) and got fiber internet! Woo. p.s. AWESOME desk, by the way! Love the wood finish, rustic look and the manual crank.
Perhaps a gift card to west elm😂😂😂 I loved the video…. Good taste, good decorating , and very modern looking. Keeping putting out the content and welcome to San Jose :)
The holes in the desk might be if you want to attach a slide out shelf for your keyboard. Having the keyboard up on the desk top is not really ergonomic if you do a lot of typing. Not having it ergonomic can cause carpal tunnel with a lot of typing.
Wow that is the neatest closet i have ever seen. The garbage can near the kitchen, you should put it the other way with the back flush up against the counter. Wouldn't look as noticeable.
Coming from San Diego and staying up in San Mateo wow it’s a very interesting place and San Diego were like really laid-back but in San Mateo it seems like people spend a lot of time working and don’t have much time for socialization but I’ll tell you Parkplace Apartments in San Mateo was one of the worst experiences of my life I got extremely ill from the mold and other rodents and things, etc.and though San Mateo is a very beautiful place I’m just giving this caution because I wouldn’t want anybody else to have long-term damage. Also, they do a lot of rip off stuff. God bless.❤🙏🏼
I also live in San Jose but south side. Think you got ripped off paying that much for a small apartment. You are better off renting a small room and invest the rest of the money in an index fund or a down payment for a house. If you are renting an apartment like that, you are just throwing money away and making some else rich. I used to rent also but realize I was just wasting money. I work in tech and I bought my house in late 2019 for 800K. Now it is worth $1.2M. House was old and needed some repairs but I learned to fix a lot of it myself by watching how-to videos on UA-cam. The best investment I every made was buying a house in San Jose. No apartment living will ever beat having a full front yard , garage, and back yard along with a driveway and your own property separated by a fence. I was able to put down 20 percent down for my house by living really cheap and investing in Vanguard index funds. Good luck to you.
@@john.nguyen Thank you John yes it is.. I am already overwhelmed 😁, but your apartment is nice and I liked it. I will check it their website. If everything goes well we will be neighbors😂
Hi ! The neighborhood is safe because it's located next to San Pedro Square Market with all the restaurants and a food court. Therefore, there are a lot of foot traffic. Being said, there are some local bars and a nightclub nearby, so you might see some drunk people in the late nighttime. Lastly, my building has a security guard. Good luck with your apartment hunting 🙂
I really don't understand how folks spend ton of $ for new rug etc... every time. probably due to the fact that he lacks a brain. And yes I live in SJDT. No longer renting it.
Park and ride VTA. I was born and raised in San Jose. My parents bought their house in 1980 for 200k and they sold it for 1 million in 2020.

try not to put cookware in the oven for safety reasons, your place looks nice by the way.
Haha. It's because the oven is right beneath my stove. I thought it might make it easier to grab when I'm cooking. That was my logic 😂😞

I put my cookwares inside the oven!! 😂
appreciate that you linked the stuff in the desc box

Bedroom without a window is against building code!
Hi John, do you feel this neighborhood safe to live in? I am also looking for an apartment in the area :) Thanks!
