Forging A Vikings Seax From A leaf Spring and Brass I found at the junk yard. The broken back Seax is a knife used by the vikings.

Compared to the cartoon version you nailed this build. I wouldn't be surprised if the game's owner tries and buys it from you for future promotions. As always, Extremely Impressive!
Very nice...I expected no less from you.....you always do such a great job
Good Job, I really like your wrok. Very inspirating !
I was going back and looking at your videos and enjoyed watching this again. You work with the similar equipment i do hammer and anvil. You always make great knives and tomahawks, keep up the great work thanks.
Another masterpiece. Well done.
Bad Ass Viking Seax Jake. I would love to have one of those in my collection Sir. Well Done !!!!!!!
I wish you showed how you covered up the hole in the pommel.
It's the little finishing touches added during/after assembly that complete the build. Watching it being completed is one of the most satisfying parts.
Looking at my bowie now, the seax heritage is obvious. I've never really made that connection before
I see it as well. Pretty cool observation
Beautiful work ! Beautiful knife !
Awesome blade! Great to see you use wood for a handle.
You just keep getting better and better
Absolutely beautiful work.
Sick blade Jake!
That is a work of art.
The broken back style of seax is more typical of the Saxons than the Vikings.
Always great work 👍👍
AWESOME 👍👍👍
love it. Can't wait to see what's next
Other then the slight wobble on the tapering about one inch up the blade it looked amazing
Gorgeous blade sir.
Awesome Knife man!
HEY JACK! Ever thought about a Battle Staff?
Amazing work sir.
Keep improoving man! You doing good! Also hello from Russia =)
Just what I expected
Nice new anvil 😀
Great video
Good job 👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome 👍
Nice work.
Your one hell of a craftsman keep the knives coming!
U should do a questions and answers video
He did one a few months ago on his patron sneak peek video but would also love to see Jake do a live QnA sometime. I for one would "go out of my way" to be there especially if he films it in his knife room.filled with his entire collection.
Love it. How does the Pumel stay on?
👀 NICE !
Hi-rail trucks that add to IS and be strong with a sharp blade
Best👍💯
Parabéns bela arte👏👏👏👏
The broken back Seax is an Anglo Saxon weapon, not a Viking weapon.
Gostei muito bom parabéns
Super 👍
Where are you, man? You are late for us .......nice good job
I’m sorry but the broken back Seax was an Anglo Saxon weapon, not a Viking weapon.
Can you make damascuse steel knife
Can you make hiccups dragon sword?
Awesome work. Will this be for sale?
Naice bro
super 👏👏👏
What is that large piece you use as an anvil?
skoitch its just a large piece or scrap steel
It looks nice, but unfortunately it looks nothing like an historical seax

I am a super amateur smith. Leaf spring is really hard stuff for me to move. You make it look really easy. Any tips on moving it by hand faster.
jayrenz111 what are you using as a anvil, and what kind of hammer?
Using a 3lbs and a 4lbs hammer with a rounded face. My ASO face is annealed h13 around 45lbs welded to 3 plates that are estimated 75lbs each. I've had pretty good results with mild steel. I've used the edge of ASO too.
jayrenz111 I find it helpful to cut a wedge out when I’m forging in a tang or the tip. I’ll use a chisel to cut small triangles out, and it’s great for starting off and creating a guide
@@lachy1709 that's some good advice. Will need to try it out soon
Hey I just watched the video today and noticed you bevel is a hare off a bit from the hilt just thought you would like to know if you did not catch that not trying to be a hater I would want some one to let me know my self
