    Dude was 1pt and 1reb away from a 40pt triple double. Top 5 PG all time

    Nash was underrated. When he needed to score he could get the bucket tbh.

    Ppl saying nash was over rated. He gets put into the suns and becomes *the* system. He wins MVPs and has 60 wins multiple times just from him being there. Dude was absolutely dominate

    How can you watch Nash play and say he’s overrated???? His shot making while on low volume was immaculate. You needed a bucket he would get it any way you needed it

      He played zero defense. (I believe he's become underrated, nonetheless).

      @@ifheavenwashuman I mean true yeah but he could get steals lol. You didn’t play him for defense. His playmaking and shot making were crazy good

      Simple: you didn't watch him and are only looking at stats. Its one of those things where Nash is the system and now in retrospect we can agree that the way the suns played was superior in their respective time than the way harden played in the same system. Themselves with shooters.

      @@ianslee4765 I did watch him. Funny you would make that assumption…based off what??? He was the other half of the reason they played so well and win as much as they did the in the 1st place. Definitely not overrated, and his stats are trash just by simply looking at them homie lol

    Top 3 greatest offensive player of all time
    He had tremendous impact to every team he was on, either 2nd or 1st in team offensive rating, and he led half of those teams (Suns/Mavs)

    7:58 just another example of how tough Steve was. I've had someone try to tell me he exaggerated/flopped the Horry hip check which is just so stupid. Steve was never ever the type of guy to go for flops. Man was tough and just wanted to play ball. Always tried to get right back into the play. He had numerous spine issues but he was pure heart n grit.

      No doubt. He would be putting up 10 three's a game. He was so efficient. They did a study over a ten year stretch to see who was the most efficient shooter from the most places on the court, and Nash was #1. Ray Allen was #2.

    Suns-Mavs had themselves a nice rivalry in the regular season and postseason in three seasons = 2004-2005, 2005-2006, 2006-2007 , which included two postseason matchups that were fun (this second round matchup in 2005 won by the Suns in 6, and the Western Conference Finals in 2006 won by the Mavs in 6)

      yes, the year before. And Cuban says his strong point is making rational decisions, with no emotion

    • @Washanuga
      @Washanuga 8 місяців тому +1

      To be fair, Nash was a small, scrawny guard headed into his 30s and looked like he had plateaued with the Mavs. Moving to Phoenix he became the centerpiece and was allowed to run the offense freely and creatively. Unlike Mavs where Dirk was the centerpiece which really pigeonholed Nash. You can compare his Mavs games vs Suns games. Mavs were very offensively centric, Dirk would iso a lot, Nash would be away from the action a lot, and his overall role was far more passive. After he went back to Phx his conditioning was the best of his career, Phx had the best medical/conditioning staff in the league at that time, and his playstyle changed drastically where he was allowed to be the high IQ quarterback he always should have been.
      It's easy to say it was a mistake in hindsight, but considering the Suns offered him 6 yrs/63mil I can understand where Cuban was coming from. I also don't think the Mavs would have magically figured out how to unlock his true potential and truly maximize the Dirk/Nash duo. So ultimately I don't think the Mavs rly lost much and they ended up winning a championship with their Nash replacement Jason Terry anyhow. And Nash was awesome to watch in Phx with Amare so as a basketball fan it was a win-win.

    If he played in today's game where 3's are rampant he'd prob avg 30 pts and 10 assists. His selflessness is what held him back, he was such a team player it was probably a detriment. He is a top 5 greatest shooter of all time and in today's game he could be shooting from the logo.

  • @TrillHighlights
    @TrillHighlights 11 місяців тому

    Wtf was Jason terry doing when Nash tied it at the end he should’ve known he was shooting a 3

    • @QGfk1
      @QGfk1 9 місяців тому

      nash was a pioneer in taking transition 3s. people were really only just learning to take and respect the pull up 3 at that time. even from the guy who is probably the 2nd greatest pure shooter of all time, 43% career from 3 despite them almost all being self-created pullups. if you gave a 38% shooter that much space nowadays you'd get benched.
